And DavidH1732 saidH559 unto all the assemblyH6951 of IsraelH3478, If it seem goodH2895 unto you, and if it be of JehovahH3068 our GodH430, let us sendH7971 abroadH6555 every where unto our brethrenH251 that are leftH7604 in all the landH776 of IsraelH3478, with whom the priestsH3548 and LevitesH3881 are in their citiesH5892 that have suburbsH4054, that they may gatherH6908 themselves unto us;
and let us bring againH5437 the arkH727 of our GodH430 to us: for we soughtH1875 not unto it in the daysH3117 of SaulH7586.
And all the assemblyH6951 saidH559 that they would do soH6213; for the thingH1697 was rightH3474 in the eyesH5869 of all the peopleH5971.

And DavidH1732 went upH5927, and all IsraelH3478, to BaalahH1173, that is, to Kiriath-jearimH7157, which belonged to JudahH3063, to bring upH5927 from thence the arkH727 of GodH430 JehovahH3068 that sittethH3427 above the cherubimH3742, that is calledH7121 by the NameH8034.
And they carriedH7392 the arkH727 of GodH430 upon a newH2319 cartH5699, and brought it out of the houseH1004 of AbinadabH41: and UzzaH5798 and AhioH283 droveH5090 the cartH5699.
And DavidH1732 and all IsraelH3478 playedH7832 beforeH6440 GodH430 with all their mightH5797, even with songsH7892, and with harpsH3658, and with psalteriesH5035, and with timbrelsH8596, and with cymbalsH4700, and with trumpetsH2689.
And when they cameH935 unto the threshing-floorH1637 of ChidonH3592, UzzaH5798 put forthH7971 his handH3027 to holdH270 the arkH727; for the oxenH1241 stumbledH8058.
And the angerH639 of JehovahH3068 was kindledH2734 against UzzaH5798, and he smoteH5221 him, because he putH7971 forth his handH3027 to the arkH727; and there he diedH4191 beforeH6440 GodH430.
And DavidH1732 was displeasedH2734, because JehovahH3068 had brokenH6556 forthH6555 upon UzzaH5798; and he calledH7121 that placeH4725 Perez-uzzaH6560, unto this dayH3117.
And DavidH1732 was afraidH3372 of GodH430 that dayH3117, sayingH559, HowH1963 shall I bringH935 the arkH727 of GodH430 home to me?
So DavidH1732 removedH5493 not the arkH727 unto him into the cityH5892 of DavidH1732, but carried it asideH5186 into the houseH1004 of Obed-edomH5654 the GittiteH1663.
And the arkH727 of GodH430 remainedH3427 with the familyH1004 of Obed-edomH5654 in his houseH1004 threeH7969 monthsH2320: and JehovahH3068 blessedH1288 the houseH1004 of Obed-edomH5654, and all that he had.
