And it came to pass in the thirdH7992 yearH8141, that JehoshaphatH3092 the kingH4428 of JudahH3063 came downH3381 to the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478.
And the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 saidH559 unto his servantsH5650, KnowH3045 ye that RamothH7433-gileadH1568 is ours, and we are stillH2814, and takeH3947 it not out of the handH3027 of the kingH4428 of SyriaH758?
And he saidH559 unto JehoshaphatH3092, Wilt thou goH3212 with me to battleH4421 to Ramoth-gileadH7433? And JehoshaphatH3092 saidH559 to the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, I am as thouH3644 art, my peopleH5971 as thy peopleH5971, my horsesH5483 as thy horsesH5483.
And JehoshaphatH3092 saidH559 unto the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, InquireH1875 firstH3117, I pray thee, for the wordH1697 of JehovahH3068.
Then the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 gatheredH6908 the prophetsH5030 togetherH6908, about fourH702 hundredH3967 menH376, and saidH559 unto them, Shall I goH3212 against Ramoth-gileadH7433 to battleH4421, or shall I forbearH2308? And they saidH559, Go upH5927; for the LordH136 will deliverH5414 it into the handH3027 of the kingH4428.
But JehoshaphatH3092 saidH559, Is there not here a prophetH5030 of JehovahH3068 besidesH5750, that we may inquireH1875 of him?
And the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 saidH559 unto JehoshaphatH3092, there is yet oneH259 manH376 by whom we may inquireH1875 of JehovahH3068, MicaiahH4321 the sonH1121 of ImlahH3229: but I hateH8130 him; for he doth not prophesyH5012 goodH2896 concerning me, but evilH7451. And JehoshaphatH3092 saidH559, Let not the kingH4428 sayH559 so.
Then the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 calledH7121 anH259 officerH5631, and saidH559, Fetch quicklyH4116 MicaiahH4321 the sonH1121 of ImlahH3229.
Now the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 and JehoshaphatH3092 the kingH4428 of JudahH3063 were sittingH3427 eachH376 onH3847 his throneH3678, arrayedH3847 in their robesH899, in an open placeH1637 at the entranceH6607 of the gateH8179 of SamariaH8111; and all the prophetsH5030 were prophesying beforeH6440 them.
And ZedekiahH6667 the sonH1121 of ChenaanahH3668 madeH6213 him hornsH7161 of ironH1270, and saidH559, Thus saithH559 JehovahH3068, With these shalt thou pushH5055 the SyriansH758, until they be consumedH3615.
And all the prophetsH5030 prophesiedH5012 so, sayingH559, Go upH5927 to Ramoth-gileadH7433, and prosperH6743; for JehovahH3068 will deliverH5414 it into the handH3027 of the kingH4428.
And the messengerH4397 that wentH1980 to callH7121 MicaiahH4321 spakeH1696 unto him, sayingH559, Behold now, the wordsH1697 of the prophetsH5030 declare goodH2896 unto the kingH4428 with oneH259 mouthH6310: let thy wordH1697, I pray thee, be like the wordH1697 of oneH259 of them, and speakH1696 thou goodH2896.
And MicaiahH4321 saidH559, As JehovahH3068 livethH2416, what JehovahH3068 saithH559 unto me, that will I speakH1696.
And when he was comeH935 to the kingH4428, the kingH4428 saidH559 unto him, MicaiahH4321, shall we goH3212 to Ramoth-gileadH7433 to battleH4421, or shall we forbearH2308? And he answeredH559 him, GoH5927 up and prosperH6743; and JehovahH3068 will deliverH5414 it into the handH3027 of the kingH4428.
And the kingH4428 saidH559 unto him, How many timesH6471 shall I adjureH7650 thee that thou speakH1696 unto me nothing but the truthH571 in the nameH8034 of JehovahH3068?
And he saidH559, I sawH7200 all IsraelH3478 scatteredH6327 upon the mountainsH2022, as sheepH6629 that have no shepherdH7462: and JehovahH3068 saidH559, These have no masterH113; let them returnH7725 every manH376 to his houseH1004 in peaceH7965.
And the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 saidH559 to JehoshaphatH3092, Did I not tellH559 thee that he would not prophesyH5012 goodH2896 concerning me, but evilH7451?
And Micaiah saidH559, Therefore hearH8085 thou the wordH1697 of JehovahH3068: I sawH7200 JehovahH3068 sittingH3427 on his throneH3678, and all the hostH6635 of heavenH8064 standingH5975 by him on his right handH3225 and on his leftH8040.
And JehovahH3068 saidH559, Who shall enticeH6601 AhabH256, that he may go upH5927 and fallH5307 at Ramoth-gileadH7433? And one saidH559 on this mannerH3541; and another saidH559 on that mannerH3541.
And there came forthH3318 a spiritH7307, and stoodH5975 beforeH6440 JehovahH3068, and saidH559, I will enticeH6601 him.
And JehovahH3068 saidH559 unto him, Wherewith? And he saidH559, I will go forthH3318, and will be a lyingH8267 spiritH7307 in the mouthH6310 of all his prophetsH5030. And he saidH559, Thou shalt enticeH6601 him, and shalt prevailH3201 also: go forthH3318, and doH6213 so.
Now therefore, behold, JehovahH3068 hath putH5414 a lyingH8267 spiritH7307 in the mouthH6310 of all these thy prophetsH5030; and JehovahH3068 hath spokenH1696 evilH7451 concerning thee.
Then ZedekiahH6667 the sonH1121 of ChenaanahH3668 came nearH5066, and smoteH5221 MicaiahH4321 on the cheekH3895, and saidH559, Which wayH335 wentH5674 the SpiritH7307 of JehovahH3068 from me to speakH1696 unto thee?
And MicaiahH4321 saidH559, Behold, thou shalt seeH7200 on that dayH3117, when thou shalt goH935 into an innerH2315 chamberH2315 to hideH2247 thyself.
And the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 saidH559, TakeH3947 MicaiahH4321, and carry him backH7725 unto AmonH526 the governorH8269 of the cityH5892, and to JoashH3101 the king'sH4428 sonH1121;
and sayH559, Thus saithH559 the kingH4428, PutH7760 this fellow in the prisonH1004, and feedH398 him with breadH3899 of afflictionH3906 and with waterH4325 of afflictionH3906, until I comeH935 in peaceH7965.
And MicaiahH4321 saidH559, If thou returnH7725 at allH7725 in peaceH7965, JehovahH3068 hath not spokenH1696 by me. And he saidH559, HearH8085, ye peoplesH5971, all of you.
So the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 and JehoshaphatH3092 the kingH4428 of JudahH3063 went upH5927 to Ramoth-gileadH7433.
And the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 saidH559 unto JehoshaphatH3092, I will disguiseH2664 myself, and goH935 into the battleH4421; but put thou onH3847 thy robesH899. And the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 disguisedH2664 himself, and wentH935 into the battleH4421.
Now the kingH4428 of SyriaH758 had commandedH6680 the thirtyH7970 and twoH8147 captainsH8269 of his chariotsH7393, sayingH559, FightH3898 neither with smallH6996 nor greatH1419, save only with the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478.
And it came to pass, when the captainsH8269 of the chariotsH7393 sawH7200 JehoshaphatH3092, that they saidH559, Surely it is the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478; and they turned asideH5493 to fightH3898 against him: and JehoshaphatH3092 cried outH2199.
And it came to pass, when the captainsH8269 of the chariotsH7393 sawH7200 that it was not the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, that they turned backH7725 from pursuingH310 him.
And a certain manH376 drewH4900 his bowH7198 at a ventureH8537, and smoteH5221 the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 between the jointsH1694 of the armorH8302: wherefore he saidH559 unto the driver of his chariotH7395, TurnH2015 thy handH3027, and carry me outH3318 of the hostH4264; for I am sore woundedH2470.
And the battleH4421 increasedH5927 that dayH3117: and the kingH4428 was stayed upH5975 in his chariotH4818 againstH5227 the SyriansH758, and diedH4191 at evenH6153; and the bloodH1818 ran outH3332 of the woundH4347 into the bottomH2436 of the chariotH7393.
And there wentH5674 a cryH7440 throughout the hostH4264 about the going downH935 of the sunH8121, sayingH559, Every manH376 to his cityH5892, and every manH376 to his countryH776.
So the kingH4428 diedH4191, and was broughtH935 to SamariaH8111; and they buriedH6912 the kingH4428 in SamariaH8111.
And they washedH7857 the chariotH7393 by the poolH1295 of SamariaH8111; and the dogsH3611 licked upH3952 his bloodH1818 (now the harlots washedH7364 themselvesH2185 there ); according unto the wordH1697 of JehovahH3068 which he spakeH1696.

And JehoshaphatH3092 the sonH1121 of AsaH609 began to reignH4427 over JudahH3063 in the fourthH702 yearH8141 of AhabH256 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478.
JehoshaphatH3092 was thirtyH7970 and fiveH2568 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he began to reignH4427; and he reignedH4427 twentyH6242 and fiveH2568 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389. And his mother'sH517 nameH8034 was AzubahH5806 the daughterH1323 of ShilhiH7977.

And JehoshaphatH3092 sleptH7901 with his fathersH1, and was buriedH6912 with his fathersH1 in the cityH5892 of DavidH1732 his fatherH1; And JehoramH3088 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.
AhaziahH274 the sonH1121 of AhabH256 began to reignH4427 over IsraelH3478 in SamariaH8111 in the seventeenthH7651 yearH8141 of JehoshaphatH3092 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, and he reignedH4427 two yearsH8141 over IsraelH3478.
And he didH6213 that which was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of JehovahH3068, and walkedH3212 in the wayH1870 of his fatherH1, and in the wayH1870 of his motherH517, and in the wayH1870 of JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of NebatH5028, wherein he made IsraelH3478 to sinH2398.
And he servedH5647 BaalH1168, and worshippedH7812 him, and provoked to angerH3707 JehovahH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, according to all that his fatherH1 had doneH6213.
