2 Chronicles 21
And JehoshaphatH3092 sleptH7901 with his fathersH1, and was buriedH6912 with his fathersH1 in the cityH5892 of DavidH1732: and JehoramH3088 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.
And he had brethrenH251, the sonsH1121 of JehoshaphatH3092: AzariahH5838, and JehielH3171, and ZechariahH2148, and AzariahH5838, and MichaelH4317, and ShephatiahH8203; all these were the sonsH1121 of JehoshaphatH3092 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478.
And their fatherH1 gaveH5414 them greatH7227 giftsH4979, of silverH3701, and of goldH2091, and of precious thingsH4030, with fortifiedH4694 citiesH5892 in JudahH3063: but the kingdomH4467 gaveH5414 he to JehoramH3088, because he was the first-bornH1060.
Now when JehoramH3088 was risen upH6965 over the kingdomH4467 of his fatherH1, and had strengthenedH2388 himself, he slewH2026 all his brethrenH251 with the swordH2719, and divers also of the princesH8269 of IsraelH3478.
JehoramH3088 was thirtyH7970 and twoH8147 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he began to reignH4427; and he reignedH4427 eightH8083 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389.
And he walkedH3212 in the wayH1870 of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478, as didH6213 the houseH1004 of AhabH256; for he had the daughterH1323 of AhabH256 to wifeH802: and he didH6213 that which was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of JehovahH3068.
Howbeit JehovahH3068 wouldH14 not destroyH7843 the houseH1004 of DavidH1732, because of the covenantH1285 that he had madeH3772 with DavidH1732, and as he promisedH559 to giveH5414 a lampH5216 to him and to his childrenH1121 alwayH3117.
In his daysH3117 EdomH123 revoltedH6586 from under the handH3027 of JudahH3063, and madeH4427 a kingH4428 over themselves.
Then JehoramH3088 passed overH5674 with his captainsH8269, and all his chariotsH7393 with him: and he rose upH6965 by nightH3915, and smoteH5221 the EdomitesH123 that compassed him aboutH5437, and the captainsH8269 of the chariotsH7393.
So EdomH123 revoltedH6586 from under the handH3027 of JudahH3063 unto this dayH3117: then did LibnahH3841 revoltH6586 at the same timeH6256 from under his handH3027, because he had forsakenH5800 JehovahH3068, the GodH430 of his fathersH1.
Moreover he madeH6213 high placesH1116 in the mountainsH2022 of JudahH3063, and made the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389 to play the harlotH2181, and ledH5080 JudahH3063 astray.
And there cameH935 a writingH4385 to him from ElijahH452 the prophetH5030, sayingH559, Thus saithH559 JehovahH3068, the GodH430 of DavidH1732 thy fatherH1, Because thou hast not walkedH1980 in the waysH1870 of JehoshaphatH3092 thy fatherH1, nor in the waysH1870 of AsaH609 kingH4428 of JudahH3063,
but hast walkedH3212 in the wayH1870 of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478, and hast made JudahH3063 and the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389 to play the harlotH2181, likeH2181 as the houseH1004 of AhabH256 did, and also hast slainH2026 thy brethrenH251 of thy father'sH1 houseH1004, who were betterH2896 than thyself:
behold, JehovahH3068 will smiteH5062 with a greatH1419 plagueH4046 thy peopleH5971, and thy childrenH1121, and thy wivesH802, and all thy substanceH7399;
and thou shalt have greatH7227 sicknessH2483 by diseaseH4245 of thy bowelsH4578, until thy bowelsH4578 fall outH3318 by reason of the sicknessH2483, dayH3117 by dayH3117.
And JehovahH3068 stirred upH5782 against JehoramH3088 the spiritH7307 of the PhilistinesH6430, and of the ArabiansH6163 that are besideH5921 the EthiopiansH3569:
and they came upH5927 against JudahH3063, and brakeH1234 into it, and carried awayH7617 all the substanceH7399 that was foundH4672 in the king'sH4428 houseH1004, and his sonsH1121 also, and his wivesH802; so that there was never a sonH1121 leftH7604 him, save JehoahazH3059, the youngestH6996 of his sonsH1121.
And afterH310 all this JehovahH3068 smoteH5062 him in his bowelsH4578 with an incurableH369 diseaseH2483.
And it came to pass, in process of timeH3117, atH3318 the endH7093 of twoH8147 yearsH3117, that his bowelsH4578 fell outH3318 by reasonH5973 of his sicknessH2483, and he diedH4191 of soreH7451 diseasesH8463. And his peopleH5971 madeH6213 no burningH8316 for him, like the burningH8316 of his fathersH1.
ThirtyH7970 and twoH8147 years oldH1121 was he when he began to reignH4427, and he reignedH4427 in JerusalemH3389 eightH8083 yearsH8141: and he departedH3212 without being desiredH2532; and they buriedH6912 him in the cityH5892 of DavidH1732, but not in the sepulchresH6913 of the kingsH4428.
