And in the seventhH7637 yearH8141 JehoiadaH3077 strengthenedH2388 himself, and tookH3947 the captainsH8269 of hundredsH3967, AzariahH5838 the sonH1121 of JerohamH3395, and IshmaelH3458 the sonH1121 of JehohananH3076, and AzariahH5838 the sonH1121 of ObedH5744, and MaaseiahH4641 the sonH1121 of AdaiahH5718, and ElishaphatH478 the sonH1121 of ZichriH2147, into covenantH1285 with him.
And they went aboutH5437 in JudahH3063, and gatheredH6908 the LevitesH3881 out of all the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063, and the headsH7218 of fathersH1' houses of IsraelH3478, and they cameH935 to JerusalemH3389.
And all the assemblyH6951 madeH3772 a covenantH1285 with the kingH4428 in the houseH1004 of GodH430. And he saidH559 unto them, Behold, the king'sH4428 sonH1121 shall reignH4427, as JehovahH3068 hath spokenH1696 concerning the sonsH1121 of DavidH1732.
This is the thingH1697 that ye shall doH6213: a third partH7992 of you, that come inH935 on the sabbathH7676, of the priestsH3548 and of the LevitesH3881, shall be portersH7778 of the thresholdsH5592;
and a third partH7992 shall be at the king'sH4428 houseH1004; and a third partH7992 at the gateH8179 of the foundationH3247: and all the peopleH5971 shall be in the courtsH2691 of the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068.
But let none comeH935 into the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068, save the priestsH3548, and they that ministerH8334 of the LevitesH3881; they shall come inH935, for they are holyH6944: but all the peopleH5971 shall keepH8104 the chargeH4931 of JehovahH3068.
And the LevitesH3881 shall compassH5362 the kingH4428 round aboutH5439, every manH376 with his weaponsH3627 in his handH3027; and whosoever comethH935 into the houseH1004, let him be slainH4191: and be ye with the kingH4428 when he cometh inH935, and when he goeth outH3318.
So the LevitesH3881 and all JudahH3063 didH6213 according to all that JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548 commandedH6680: and they tookH3947 every manH376 his menH376, those that were to come inH935 on the sabbathH7676; with those that were to goH3318 out on the sabbathH7676; for JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548 dismissedH6358 not the coursesH4256.
And JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548 deliveredH5414 to the captainsH8269 of hundredsH3967 the spearsH2595, and bucklersH4043, and shieldsH7982, that had been kingH4428 David'sH1732, which were in the houseH1004 of GodH430.
And he setH5975 all the peopleH5971, every manH376 with his weaponH7973 in his handH3027, from the rightH3233 sideH3802 of the houseH1004 to the leftH8042 sideH3802 of the houseH1004, along by the altarH4196 and the houseH1004, by the kingH4428 round aboutH5439.
Then they brought outH3318 the king'sH4428 sonH1121, and putH5414 the crownH5145 upon him, and gave him the testimonyH5715, and made him kingH4427: and JehoiadaH3077 and his sonsH1121 anointedH4886 him; and they saidH559, Long liveH2421 the kingH4428.
And when AthaliahH6271 heardH8085 the noiseH6963 of the peopleH5971 runningH7323 and praisingH1984 the kingH4428, she cameH935 to the peopleH5971 into the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068:
and she lookedH7200, and, behold, the kingH4428 stoodH5975 by his pillarH5982 at the entranceH3996, and the captainsH8269 and the trumpetsH2689 by the kingH4428; and all the peopleH5971 of the landH776 rejoicedH8056, and blewH8628 trumpetsH2689; the singersH7891 also played on instrumentsH3627 of musicH7892, and ledH3045 the singing of praiseH1984. Then AthaliahH6271 rentH7167 her clothesH899, and saidH559, TreasonH7195! treasonH7195!
And JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548 brought outH3318 the captainsH8269 of hundredsH3967 that were set overH6485 the hostH2428, and saidH559 unto them, Have her forthH3318 between the ranksH1004; and whoso followethH935 her, let him be slainH4191 with the swordH2719: for the priestH3548 saidH559, SlayH4191 her not in the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068.
So they madeH7760 wayH3027 for her; and she wentH935 to the entranceH3996 of the horseH5483 gateH8179 to the king'sH4428 houseH1004: and they slewH4191 her there.
And JehoiadaH3077 madeH3772 a covenantH1285 between himself, and all the peopleH5971, and the kingH4428, that they should be Jehovah'sH3068 peopleH5971.
And all the peopleH5971 wentH935 to the houseH1004 of BaalH1168, and brake it downH5422, and brakeH7665 his altarsH4196 and his imagesH6754 in piecesH7665, and slewH2026 MattanH4977 the priestH3548 of BaalH1168 beforeH6440 the altarsH4196.
And JehoiadaH3077 appointedH7760 the officersH6486 of the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068 under the handH3027 of the priestsH3548 the LevitesH3881, whom DavidH1732 had distributedH2505 in the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068, to offerH5927 the burnt-offeringsH5930 of JehovahH3068, as it is writtenH3789 in the lawH8451 of MosesH4872, with rejoicingH8057 and with singingH7892, according to the orderH3027 of DavidH1732.
And he setH5975 the portersH7778 at the gatesH8179 of the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068, that none that was uncleanH2931 inH935 anythingH1697 should enter inH935.
And he tookH3947 the captainsH8269 of hundredsH3967, and the noblesH117, and the governorsH4910 of the peopleH5971, and all the peopleH5971 of the landH776, and brought downH3381 the kingH4428 from the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068: and they cameH935 throughH8432 the upperH5945 gateH8179 unto the king'sH4428 houseH1004, and setH3427 the kingH4428 upon the throneH3678 of the kingdomH4467.
So all the peopleH5971 of the landH776 rejoicedH8055, and the cityH5892 was quietH8252. And AthaliahH6271 they had slainH4191 with the swordH2719.
