In the seventhH7651 yearH8141 of JehuH3058 began JehoashH3060 to reignH4427; and he reignedH4427 fortyH705 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389: and his mother'sH517 nameH8034 was ZibiahH6645 of Beer-shebaH884.
And JehoashH3060 didH6213 that which was rightH3477 in the eyesH5869 of JehovahH3068 all his daysH3117 wherein JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548 instructedH3384 him.
Howbeit the high placesH1116 were not taken awayH5493; the peopleH5971 still sacrificedH2076 and burnt incenseH6999 in the high placesH1116.
And JehoashH3060 saidH559 to the priestsH3548, All the moneyH3701 of the hallowed thingsH6944 that is broughtH935 into the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068, in currentH5674 moneyH3701, the moneyH3701 of the personsH376 for whom each manH5315 is ratedH6187, and all the moneyH3701 that it comethH5927 into any man'sH376 heartH3820 to bringH935 into the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068,
let the priestsH3548 takeH3947 it to them, every manH376 from his acquaintanceH4378; and they shall repairH2388 the breachesH919 of the houseH1004, wheresoever any breachH919 shall be foundH4672.
But it was so, that in the threeH7969 and twentiethH6242 yearH8141 of kingH4428 JehoashH3060 the priestsH3548 had not repairedH2388 the breachesH919 of the houseH1004.
Then kingH4428 JehoashH3060 calledH7121 for JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548, and for the other priestsH3548, and saidH559 unto them, Why repairH2388 ye not the breachesH919 of the houseH1004? now therefore takeH3947 no more moneyH3701 from your acquaintanceH4378, but deliverH5414 it for the breachesH919 of the houseH1004.
And the priestsH3548 consentedH225 that they should takeH3947 noH1115 more moneyH3701 from the peopleH5971, neitherH1115 repairH2388 the breachesH919 of the houseH1004.
But JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548 tookH3947 aH259 chestH727, and boredH5344 a holeH2356 in the lidH1817 of it, and setH5414 it besideH681 the altarH4196, on the right sideH3225 as oneH376 comethH935 into the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068: and the priestsH3548 that keptH8104 the thresholdH5592 putH5414 therein all the moneyH3701 that was broughtH935 into the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068.
And it was so, when they sawH7200 that there was muchH7227 moneyH3701 in the chestH727, that the king'sH4428 scribeH5608 and the highH1419 priestH3548 came upH5927, and they put up in bagsH6696 and countedH4487 the moneyH3701 that was foundH4672 in the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068.
And they gaveH5414 the moneyH3701 that was weighedH8505 out into the handsH3027 of them that didH6213 the workH4399, that had the oversightH6485 of the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068: and they paid it outH3318 to the carpentersH2796 and the buildersH1129, that wroughtH6213 upon the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068,
and to the masonsH1443 and the hewersH2672 of stoneH68, and for buyingH7069 timberH6086 and hewnH4274 stoneH68 to repairH2388 the breachesH919 of the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068, and for all that was laid outH3318 for the houseH1004 to repairH2394 it.
But there were not madeH6213 for the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068 cupsH5592 of silverH3701, snuffersH4212, basinsH4219, trumpetsH2689, any vesselsH3627 of goldH2091, or vesselsH3627 of silverH3701, of the moneyH3701 that was broughtH935 into the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068;
for they gaveH5414 that to them that did the workH4399, and repairedH2388 therewith the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068.
Moreover they reckonedH2803 not with the menH582, into whose handH3027 they deliveredH5414 the moneyH3701 to giveH5414 to them that did the workH4399; for they dealtH6213 faithfullyH530.
The moneyH3701 for the trespass-offeringsH817, and the moneyH3701 for the sin-offeringsH2403, was not broughtH935 into the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068: it was the priestsH3548'.
Then HazaelH2371 kingH4428 of SyriaH758 went upH5927, and foughtH3898 against GathH1661, and tookH3920 it; and HazaelH2371 setH7760 his faceH6440 to go upH5927 to JerusalemH3389.
And JehoashH3060 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 tookH3947 all the hallowed thingsH6944 that JehoshaphatH3092 and JehoramH3088 and AhaziahH274, his fathersH1, kingsH4428 of JudahH3063, had dedicatedH6942, and his own hallowed thingsH6944, and all the goldH2091 that was foundH4672 in the treasuresH214 of the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068, and of the king'sH4428 houseH1004, and sentH7971 it to HazaelH2371 kingH4428 of SyriaH758: and he went awayH5927 from JerusalemH3389.
Now the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of JoashH3101, and all that he didH6213, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063?
And his servantsH5650 aroseH6965, and madeH7194 a conspiracyH7195, and smoteH5221 JoashH3101 at the houseH1004 of MilloH4407, on the way that goeth downH3381 to SillaH5538.
For JozacarH3108 the sonH1121 of ShimeathH8100, and JehozabadH3075 the sonH1121 of ShomerH7763, his servantsH5650, smoteH5221 him, and he diedH4191; and they buriedH6912 him with his fathersH1 in the cityH5892 of DavidH1732: and AmaziahH558 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.
