And it came to pass in the seventhH7637 yearH8141, in the fifthH2549 month, the tenthH6218 day of the monthH2320, that certainH582 of the eldersH2205 of IsraelH3478 cameH935 to inquireH1875 of JehovahH3068, and satH3427 beforeH6440 me.
And the wordH1697 of JehovahH3068 came unto me, sayingH559,
SonH1121 of manH120, speakH1696 unto the eldersH2205 of IsraelH3478, and sayH559 unto them, Thus saithH559 the LordH136 JehovahH136: Is it to inquireH1875 of me that ye are comeH935? As I liveH2416, saithH5002 the LordH136 JehovahH3069, I will not be inquiredH1875 of by you.
Wilt thou judgeH8199 them, sonH1121 of manH120, wilt thou judgeH8199 them? Cause them to knowH3045 the abominationsH8441 of their fathersH1;
and sayH559 unto them, Thus saithH559 the LordH136 JehovahH3069: In the dayH3117 when I choseH977 IsraelH3478, and swareH3027 untoH5375 the seedH2233 of the houseH1004 of JacobH3290, and made myself knownH3045 unto them in the landH776 of EgyptH4714, when I swareH3027 untoH5375 them, sayingH559, I am JehovahH3068 your GodH430;
in that dayH3117 I swareH3027 untoH5375 them, to bring them forthH3318 out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714 into a landH776 that I had searchedH8446 out for them, flowingH2100 with milkH2461 and honeyH1706, which is the gloryH6643 of all landsH776.
And I saidH559 unto them, Cast ye awayH7993 every manH376 the abominationsH8251 of his eyesH5869, and defileH2930 not yourselves with the idolsH1544 of EgyptH4714; I am JehovahH3068 your GodH430.
But they rebelledH4784 against me, and wouldH14 not hearkenH8085 unto me; they did not every manH376 cast awayH7993 the abominationsH8251 of their eyesH5869, neither did they forsakeH5800 the idolsH1544 of EgyptH4714. Then I saidH559 I would pour outH8210 my wrathH2534 upon them, to accomplishH3615 my angerH639 against them in the midstH8432 of the landH776 of EgyptH4714.
But I wroughtH6213 for my name'sH8034 sake, that it should not be profanedH2490 in the sightH5869 of the nationsH1471, amongH8432 which they were, in whose sightH5869 I made myself knownH3045 unto them, in bringing them forthH3318 out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714.
So I caused them to go forthH3318 out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and broughtH935 them into the wildernessH4057.
And I gaveH5414 them my statutesH2708, and showedH3045 them mine ordinancesH4941, which if a manH120 doH6213, he shall liveH2425 in them.
Moreover also I gaveH5414 them my sabbathsH7676, to be a signH226 between me and them, that they might knowH3045 that I am JehovahH3068 that sanctifiethH6942 them.
But the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 rebelledH4784 against me in the wildernessH4057: they walkedH1980 not in my statutesH2708, and they rejectedH3988 mine ordinancesH4941, which if a manH120 keepH6213, he shall liveH2425 in them; and my sabbathsH7676 they greatlyH3966 profanedH2490. Then I saidH559 I would pour outH8210 my wrathH2534 upon them in the wildernessH4057, to consumeH3615 them.
But I wroughtH6213 for my name'sH8034 sake, that it should not be profanedH2490 in the sightH5869 of the nationsH1471, in whose sightH5869 I brought them outH3318.
Moreover also I swareH3027 untoH5375 them in the wildernessH4057, that I would not bringH935 them into the landH776 which I had givenH5414 them, flowingH2100 with milkH2461 and honeyH1706, which is the gloryH6643 of all landsH776;
because they rejectedH3988 mine ordinancesH4941, and walkedH1980 not in my statutesH2708, and profanedH2490 my sabbathsH7676: for their heartH3820 wentH1980 afterH310 their idolsH1544.
Nevertheless mine eyeH5869 sparedH2347 them, and I destroyedH7843 them not, neither did I makeH6213 a full endH3617 of them in the wildernessH4057.
And I saidH559 unto their childrenH1121 in the wildernessH4057, WalkH3212 ye not in the statutesH2706 of your fathersH1, neither observeH8104 their ordinancesH4941, nor defileH2930 yourselves with their idolsH1544.
I am JehovahH3068 your GodH430: walkH3212 in my statutesH2708, and keepH8104 mine ordinancesH4941, and doH6213 them;
and hallowH6942 my sabbathsH7676; and they shall be a signH226 between me and you, that ye may knowH3045 that I am JehovahH3068 your GodH430.
But the childrenH1121 rebelledH4784 against me; they walkedH1980 not in my statutesH2708, neither keptH8104 mine ordinancesH4941 to doH6213 them, which if a manH120 doH6213, he shall liveH2425 in them; they profanedH2490 my sabbathsH7676. Then I saidH559 I would pour outH8210 my wrathH2534 upon them, to accomplishH3615 my angerH639 against them in the wildernessH4057.
Nevertheless I withdrewH7725 my handH3027, and wroughtH6213 for my name'sH8034 sake, that it should not be profanedH2490 in the sightH5869 of the nationsH1471, in whose sightH5869 I brought them forthH3318.
Moreover I swareH3027 untoH5375 them in the wildernessH4057, that I would scatterH6327 them among the nationsH1471, and disperseH2219 them through the countriesH776;
because they had not executedH6213 mine ordinancesH4941, but had rejectedH3988 my statutesH2708, and had profanedH2490 my sabbathsH7676, and their eyesH5869 were afterH310 their fathersH1' idolsH1544.
Moreover also I gaveH5414 them statutesH2706 that were not goodH2896, and ordinancesH4941 wherein they should not liveH2421;
and I pollutedH2930 them in their own giftsH4979, in that they caused to pass throughH5674 the fire all that openethH6363 the wombH7356, that I might make them desolateH8074, to the end that they might knowH3045 that I am JehovahH3068.
Therefore, sonH1121 of manH120, speakH1696 unto the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, and sayH559 unto them, Thus saithH559 the LordH136 JehovahH3069: In this moreover have your fathersH1 blasphemedH1442 me, in that they have committedH4603 a trespassH4604 against me.
For when I had broughtH935 them into the landH776, which I swareH3027 toH5375 giveH5414 unto them, then they sawH7200 every highH7311 hillH1389, and every thickH5687 treeH6086, and they offeredH2076 there their sacrificesH2077, and there they presentedH5414 the provocationH3708 of their offeringH2076; there also they madeH7760 their sweetH5207 savorH7381, and they poured outH5258 there their drink-offeringsH5262.
Then I saidH559 unto them, What meaneth the high placeH1116 whereunto ye goH935? So the nameH8034 thereof is calledH7121 BamahH1117 unto this dayH3117.
Wherefore sayH559 unto the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, Thus saithH559 the LordH136 JehovahH136: Do ye polluteH2930 yourselves after the mannerH1870 of your fathersH1? and play ye the harlotH2181 afterH310 their abominationsH8251?
and when ye offerH5375 your giftsH4979, when ye make your sonsH1121 to pass throughH5674 the fireH784, do ye polluteH2930 yourselves with all your idolsH1544 unto this dayH3117? and shall I be inquiredH1875 of by you, O houseH1004 of IsraelH3478? As I liveH2416, saithH5002 the LordH136 JehovahH3069, I will not be inquiredH1875 of by you;
and that which comethH5927 into your mindH7307 shall not be at all, in that ye sayH559, We will beH1961 as the nationsH1471, as the familiesH4940 of the countriesH776, to serveH8334 woodH6086 and stoneH68.
As I liveH2416, saithH5002 the LordH136 JehovahH3069, surely with a mightyH2389 handH3027, and with an outstretchedH5186 armH2220, and with wrathH2534 poured outH5186, will I be kingH4427 over you:
and I will bring you outH3318 from the peoplesH5971, and will gatherH6908 you out of the countriesH776 wherein ye are scatteredH6327, with a mightyH2389 handH3027, and with an outstretchedH5186 armH2220, and with wrathH2534 poured outH5186;
and I will bringH935 you into the wildernessH4057 of the peoplesH5971, and there will I enter into judgmentH8199 with you faceH6440 to faceH6440.
Like as I entered into judgmentH8199 with your fathersH1 in the wildernessH4057 of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, so will I enter into judgmentH8199 with you, saithH5002 the LordH136 JehovahH3069.
And I will cause you to passH5674 under the rodH7626, and I will bringH935 you into the bondH4562 of the covenantH1285;
and I will purge outH1305 from among you the rebelsH4775, and them that transgressH6586 against me; I will bring them forthH3318 out of the landH776 where they sojournH4033, but they shall not enterH935 into the landH127 of IsraelH3478: and ye shall knowH3045 that I am JehovahH3068.
As for you, O houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, thus saithH559 the LordH136 JehovahH3069: GoH3212 ye, serveH5647 every oneH376 his idolsH1544, and hereafterH310 also, if ye will not hearkenH8085 unto me; but my holyH6944 nameH8034 shall ye no more profaneH2490 with your giftsH4979, and with your idolsH1544.
For in my holyH6944 mountainH2022, in the mountainH2022 of the heightH4791 of IsraelH3478, saithH5002 the LordH136 JehovahH3069, there shall all the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, all of them, serveH5647 me in the landH776: there will I acceptH7521 them, and there will I requireH1875 your offeringsH8641, and the first-fruitsH7225 of your oblationsH4864, with all your holy thingsH6944.
As a sweetH5207 savorH7381 will I acceptH7521 you, when I bring you outH3318 from the peoplesH5971, and gatherH6908 you outH3318 of the countriesH776 wherein ye have been scatteredH6327; and I will be sanctifiedH6942 in you in the sight of the nationsH1471.
And ye shall knowH3045 that I am JehovahH3068, when I shall bringH935 you into the landH127 of IsraelH3478, into the countryH776 which I swareH3027 toH5375 giveH5414 unto your fathersH1.
And there shall ye rememberH2142 your waysH1870, and all your doingsH5949, wherein ye have pollutedH2930 yourselves; and ye shall loatheH6962 yourselves in your own sightH6440 for all your evilsH7451 that ye have committedH6213.
And ye shall knowH3045 that I am JehovahH3068, when I have dealtH6213 with you for my name'sH8034 sake, not according to your evilH7451 waysH1870, nor according to your corruptH7843 doingsH5949, O ye houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, saithH5002 the LordH136 JehovahH3069.
And the wordH1697 of JehovahH3068 came unto me, sayingH559,
SonH1121 of manH120, setH7760 thy faceH6440 towardH1870 the southH8486, and dropH5197 thy word toward the southH1864, and prophesyH5012 against the forestH3293 of the fieldH7704 in the SouthH5045;
and sayH559 to the forestH3293 of the SouthH5045, HearH8085 the wordH1697 of JehovahH3068: Thus saithH559 the LordH136 JehovahH3068, Behold, I will kindleH3341 a fireH784 in thee, and it shall devourH398 every greenH3892 treeH6086 in thee, and every dryH3002 treeH6086: the flamingH3852 flameH7957 shall not be quenchedH3518, and all facesH6440 from the southH5045 to the northH6828 shall be burntH6866 thereby.
And all fleshH1320 shall seeH7200 that I, JehovahH3068, have kindledH1197 it; it shall not be quenchedH3518.
Then saidH559 I, AhH162 LordH136 JehovahH136! they sayH559 of me, Is he not a speakerH4911 of parablesH4912?
