Job 20
Then answeredH6030 ZopharH6691 the NaamathiteH5284, and saidH559,
Therefore do my thoughtsH5587 give answerH7725 to me, Even by reason of my hasteH2363 that is in me.
I have heardH8085 the reproofH4148 which putteth me to shameH3639; And the spiritH7307 of my understandingH998 answerethH6030 me.
KnowestH3045 thou not this of oldH5703 time, Since manH120 was placedH7760 upon earthH776,
That the triumphingH7445 of the wickedH7563 is shortH7138, And the joyH8057 of the godlessH2611 but for a momentH7281?
Though his heightH7863 mount upH5927 to the heavensH8064, And his headH7218 reachH5060 unto the cloudsH5645;
Yet he shall perishH6 for everH5331 like his own dungH1561: They that have seenH7200 him shall sayH559, WhereH335 is he?
He shall fly awayH5774 as a dreamH2472, and shall not be foundH4672: Yea, he shall be chased awayH5074 as a visionH2384 of the nightH3915.
The eyeH5869 which sawH7805 him shall see him no moreH3254; Neither shall his placeH4725 any more beholdH7789 him.
His childrenH1121 shall seek the favorH7521 of the poorH1800, And his handsH3027 shall give backH7725 his wealthH202.
His bonesH6106 are fullH4390 of his youthH5934, But it shall lie downH7901 with him in the dustH6083.
Though wickednessH7451 be sweetH4985 in his mouthH6310, Though he hideH3582 it under his tongueH3956,
Though he spareH2550 it, and will not let it goH5800, But keep it stillH4513 withinH8432 his mouthH2441;
Yet his foodH3899 in his bowelsH4578 is turnedH2015, It is the gallH4846 of aspsH6620 withinH7130 him.
He hath swallowed downH1104 richesH2428, and he shall vomit them up againH6958; GodH410 will cast them outH3423 of his bellyH990.
He shall suckH3243 the poisonH7219 of aspsH6620: The viper'sH660 tongueH3956 shall slayH2026 him.
He shall not lookH7200 upon the riversH6390, The flowingH5104 streamsH6390 of honeyH1706 and butterH2529.
That which he laboredH3022 for shall he restoreH7725, and shall not swallow it downH1104; According to the substanceH2428 that he hath gottenH8545, he shall not rejoiceH5965.
For he hath oppressedH7533 and forsakenH5800 the poorH1800; He hath violently taken awayH1497 a houseH1004, and he shall not buildH1129 it up.
Because he knewH3045 no quietnessH7961 within himH990, He shall not saveH4422 aught of that wherein he delightethH2530.
There was nothingH400 leftH8300 that he devoured not; Therefore his prosperityH2898 shall not endureH2342.
In the fulnessH4390 of his sufficiencyH5607 he shall be in straitsH3334: The handH3027 of every one that is in miseryH6001 shall comeH935 upon him.
When he is about to fillH4390 his bellyH990, God will castH7971 the fiercenessH2740 of his wrathH639 upon him, And will rainH4305 it upon him while he is eatingH3894.
He shall fleeH1272 from the ironH1270 weaponH5402, And the bowH7198 of brassH5154 shall strike him throughH2498.
He drawethH8025 it forth, and it cometh outH3318 of his bodyH1465; Yea, the glittering pointH1300 cometh outH1980 of his gallH4846: TerrorsH367 are upon him.
All darknessH2822 is laidH2934 up for his treasuresH6845: A fireH784 not blownH5301 by man shall devourH398 him; It shall consumeH3415 that which is leftH8300 in his tentH168.
The heavensH8064 shall revealH1540 his iniquityH5771, And the earthH776 shall rise upH6965 against him.
The increaseH2981 of his houseH1004 shall departH1540; His goods shall flow awayH5064 in the dayH3117 of his wrathH639.
This is the portionH2506 of a wickedH7563 manH120 from GodH430, And the heritageH5159 appointedH561 unto him by GodH410.
