Psalms 22
For the Chief Musician; set to Aijeleth hash-Shahar. A Psalm of David. My GodH410, my GodH410, why hast thou forsakenH5800 me? Why art thou so farH7350 from helpingH3444 me, and from the wordsH1697 of my groaningH7581?
O my GodH430, I cryH7121 in the daytimeH3119, but thou answerestH6030 not; And in the night seasonH3915, and am not silentH1747.
But thou art holyH6918, O thou that inhabitestH3427 the praisesH8416 of IsraelH3478.
Our fathersH1 trustedH982 in thee: They trustedH982, and thou didst deliverH6403 them.
They criedH2199 unto thee, and were deliveredH4422: They trustedH982 in thee, and were not put to shameH954.
But I am a wormH8438, and no manH376; A reproachH2781 of menH120, and despisedH959 of the peopleH5971.
All they that seeH7200 me laugh me to scornH3932: They shoot outH6358 the lipH8193, they shakeH5128 the headH7218, saying,
CommitH1556 thyself unto JehovahH3068; Let him deliverH6403 him: Let him rescueH6403 him, seeing he delightethH2654 in him.
But thou art he that tookH1518 me out of the wombH990; Thou didst make me trustH982 when I was upon my mother'sH517 breastsH7699.
I was castH7993 upon thee from the wombH7358; Thou art my GodH410 since my motherH517 bareH990 me.
Be not farH7368 from me; For troubleH6869 is nearH7138; For there is none to helpH5826.
ManyH7227 bullsH6499 have compassedH5437 me; StrongH47 bulls of BashanH1316 have beset me roundH3803.
They gapeH6475 upon me with their mouthH6310, As a raveningH2963 and a roaringH7580 lionH738.
I am poured outH8210 like waterH4325, And all my bonesH6106 are out of jointH6504: My heartH3820 is like waxH1749; It is meltedH4549 withinH8432 meH4578.
My strengthH3581 is dried upH3001 like a potsherdH2789; And my tongueH3956 cleavethH1692 to my jawsH4455; And thou hast broughtH8239 me into the dustH6083 of deathH4194.
For dogsH3611 have compassedH5437 me: A companyH5712 of evil-doersH7489 have inclosedH5362 me; They piercedH3738 my handsH3027 and my feetH7272.
I may countH5608 all my bonesH6106; They lookH5027 and stareH7200 upon me.
They partH2505 my garmentsH899 among them, And upon my vestureH3830 do they castH5307 lotsH1486.
But be not thou farH7368 off, O JehovahH3068: O thou my succorH360, hasteH2363 thee to helpH5833 me.
DeliverH5337 my soulH5315 from the swordH2719, My darlingH3173 from the powerH3027 of the dogH3611.
SaveH3467 me from the lion'sH738 mouthH6310; Yea, from the hornsH7161 of the wild-oxenH7214 thou hast answeredH6030 me.
I will declareH5608 thy nameH8034 unto my brethrenH251: In the midstH8432 of the assemblyH6951 will I praiseH1984 thee.
Ye that fearH3373 JehovahH3068, praiseH1984 him; All ye the seedH2233 of JacobH3290, glorifyH3513 him; And stand in aweH1481 of him, all ye the seedH2233 of IsraelH3478.
For he hath not despisedH959 nor abhorredH8262 the afflictionH6039 of the afflictedH6041; Neither hath he hidH5641 his faceH6440 from him; But when he criedH7768 unto him, he heardH8085.
Of thee cometh my praiseH8416 in the greatH7227 assemblyH6951: I will payH7999 my vowsH5088 before them that fearH3373 him.
The meekH6035 shall eatH398 and be satisfiedH7646; They shall praiseH1984 JehovahH3068 that seekH1875 after him: Let your heartH3824 liveH2421 for everH5703.
All the endsH657 of the earthH776 shall rememberH2142 and turnH7725 unto JehovahH3068; And all the kindredsH4940 of the nationsH1471 shall worshipH7812 beforeH6440 thee.
For the kingdomH4410 is Jehovah'sH3068; And he is the rulerH4910 over the nationsH1471.
All the fatH1879 ones of the earthH776 shall eatH398 and worshipH7812: All they that go downH3381 to the dustH6083 shall bowH3766 beforeH6440 him, Even he that cannot keep his soulH5315 aliveH2421.
A seedH2233 shall serveH5647 him; It shall be toldH5608 of the LordH136 unto the next generationH1755.
They shall comeH935 and shall declareH5046 his righteousnessH6666 Unto a peopleH5971 that shall be bornH3205, that he hath doneH6213 it.
