A Psalm, a Song for the sabbath day. It is a goodH2896 thing to give thanksH3034 unto JehovahH3068, And to sing praisesH2167 unto thy nameH8034, O Most HighH5945; To show forthH5046 thy lovingkindnessH2617 in the morningH1242, And thy faithfulnessH530 every nightH3915, With an instrument of ten stringsH6218, and with the psalteryH5035; With a solemn soundH1902 upon the harpH3658. For thou, JehovahH3068, hast made me gladH8055 through thy workH6467: I will triumphH7442 in the worksH4639 of thy handsH3027. How greatH1431 are thy worksH4639, O JehovahH3068! Thy thoughtsH4284 are veryH3966 deepH6009. A brutishH1198 manH376 knowethH3045 not; Neither doth a foolH3684 understandH995 this: When the wickedH7563 springH6524 as the grassH6212, And when all the workersH6466 of iniquityH205 do flourishH6692; It is that they shall be destroyedH8045 for everH5703. But thou, O JehovahH3068, art on highH4791 for evermoreH5769. For, lo, thine enemiesH341, O JehovahH3068, For, lo, thine enemiesH341 shall perishH6; All the workersH6466 of iniquityH205 shall be scatteredH6504. But my hornH7161 hast thou exalted like the horn of the wild-oxH7214: I am anointedH1101 with freshH7488 oilH8081. Mine eyeH5869 also hath seenH5027 my desire on mine enemiesH7790, Mine earsH241 have heardH8085 my desire of the evil-doersH7489 that rise upH6965 against me. The righteousH6662 shall flourishH6524 like the palm-treeH8558: He shall growH7685 like a cedarH730 in LebanonH3844. They are plantedH8362 in the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068; They shall flourishH6524 in the courtsH2691 of our GodH430. They shall still bring forth fruitH5107 in old ageH7872; They shall be full of sapH1879 and greenH7488: To showH5046 that JehovahH3068 is uprightH3477; He is my rockH6697, and there is no unrighteousnessH5766 in him.
