Security Forces Seize Smuggled Weapons in Region
Security forces in a Middle Eastern country seized automatic firearms and GPS devices smuggled via hot air balloons. The items were discovered in a suspicious bag in a southern governorate after police isolated the area and experts inspected the contents. Authorities stated the bag arrived from the southern border via wind. This discovery follows a deadly attack on a church in the region that killed nine people. Security forces subsequently conducted airstrikes in a neighboring country against targets linked to the attackers. The seized weapons are being held as investigations continue.
