WCRC Leaders Call for Just Peace at Seoul Convocation

World Communion of Reformed Churches South Korea

The World Communion of Reformed Churches participated in an International Ecumenical Peace Convocation held in Seoul, South Korea, from September 9 to 13. Co-organized by several major Christian bodies, the event focused on the Korean Peninsula and global conflict zones. WCRC Executive Secretary Muna Nassar and Rev. Dr. Mitri Raheb spoke about the need for genuine justice rather than superficial calm. Nassar emphasized that peace must be a demand on the powerful, while Raheb urged churches to address the root causes of conflict in Palestine and the Global South. The gathering concluded with plans for a peace declaration and a pilgrimage to the Demilitarized Zone.
