All sailors command the seas for good, for good and for glory. And we have this hope as an anchor of the soul, no matter the trial, no matter the test, the chain reaches through fathoms, connecting what floats perilously to what holds fast to bedrock, movable to immovable, carbon steel link around carbon steel link. This faith, his faith holds us, sustains us, anchors us to his plan, his purpose, his story. As we sail on and on into the great beyond, leagues upon leagues, faith and patience, sailing on a promise, sailing on an oath, you will take hold of it. You will come into your inheritance. For I am not a man that I should lie. I have sworn to you that I will bring you through. So hold tight to your hope, set your face as flint and do not turn back. Chart your course with the light as your map. And follow me. Feel the swells and face them with smiles. Because you know whose wake you sail in. And because you know that you will never, ever, ever forget that you are anchored. You are anchored. I wish I could tell you. Wish I could describe it. But I can contain it. Can't keep it to myself. We pray presence in that morning he can heal more just in a few seconds in a minute or two he can do what we can't do in months, weeks, he can realign, bring into order what's out of order. We had prayed, Lord, let there be like a cloud of weightiness of your glory, and man, I could just sense it. Forgot we prayed that. I could just sense it. I can sense it. Holy one, Father, we honor you. Every word that needs to be spoken in this conference, we pray it be spoken as you would have it for the strengthening of the saints, the edifying of your body, the building up of the church. May it be in so that each one that would come and go in and out of these sessions would say the Lord's will has been done. We say in Jesus name. If you agree with that, say amen. Amen. Would you? 13 years ago this night, I was in the church and I was in the church and I was in the church and I was in the church and I was in the church and I was in the church and I was in the church or tomorrow night, I'm sending sitting and standing during worship about where Jules is and Chris are on the blue star campus. 2013 in the worship, Jonathan Cook takes a transition of the worship and starts to lead us in the portion I'm doing right now, and the holy spirit said, he will move to Claremore. I turned over to Jerry Vaughn, his father-in-law, and I said, the holy spirit just spoke something to me, and I said, I'm going to move to Claremore. I said, I'm going to move to Claremore. Me that I can't tell you. He said, I know. We've never talked about it, Jerry. I don't know what you knew. The next day, Jonathan comes and says, can I talk to you? I said, yes. We walked out on the patio, sat down, and I said, before you tell me, I'm going to write in my phone what you're going to tell me. I still have it in my phone. That Jonathan Cook and his family will move to Claremore. I knew it was God ordained. He said, all I ask is that you love our girls, and I'm here for life. We have watched the Lord pull this thing together, and particularly in the last few years, Jonathan actually, I say co-leads, he actually leads the house on both campuses with our team and with ATI. It's an honor for his family to be among us. Jonathan, we honor you tonight. God bless you. Come on up here, brother. You have given your life to people, and it's cost you more than you expected. You have watered through droughts. Through years when nothing visible was growing, trusting that the roots were growing deeper. You know what it is to give everything to a vision that only you and God could see. And somewhere in the middle of it all, you have asked the question that every builder eventually asks, is this going to last? The scriptures don't avoid this question. Jesus raised it first. Why do you call me Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say? That person is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. He built a house on the ground without a foundation. The issue was never the building. The issue was what it was built on. Before any disciple began to labor, Jesus was already doing the work that would make all other work possible. His work on the cross was not a religious transaction. It was not simply a moral example to imitate. It was not the beginning of an institution. It was the foundation. The only one that holds the foundation. It was the foundation. When everything else is shaking. The only ground firm enough to be anchored to. For no one can lay the foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 3, 11. Every team that holds together, every son that finds his father, every nation that receives the gospel, every member grows into maturity. It is all standing on his work, not ours. This week, before we go any further, I've got one question. What is your work anchored to? That's a good question. I'll say that again. Hopefully, we'll get this worked out. How's everybody doing? The Lord is so good, isn't he? You know, you make decisions in seasons, and you know, you do your best to follow the Lord and honor the Lord in those decisions, but you can never really know how that's going to totally turn out, and yet you trust God in it, and you know, I'm going to say moving to Claremore, moving to Oklahoma. Now, those that are around here know I call myself an Oklahoma evangelist. I'm going to say, you know, I'm going to say, you know, I'm going to say, I don't allow people to talk bad about Oklahoma around me, I got to tell you. I just take that somewhere else. Even legitimate concerns, I just shut it down, like stop it right now, but really it's because you just see, I see the Lord at work in it, and it's one of those decisions that you just, I mean, I could talk a long time about it. I won't take the time tonight to do that, but I'm just so grateful to the Lord that you just walk in obedience. He shows you the next thing, and you and even when it's hard, because often it's hard, and yet it's the greatest thing that you could ever be a part of. Our theme scripture, I think that Christian really preached my message in that spoken word. That was awesome, my brother. That was so good, and our theme verse out of Hebrews 6:19, and I'm going to start there tonight. I'm going to be in the book of Hebrews pretty much. If I had to title this message, it'd be anchored. That's pretty easy because, you know, that's the theme of the conference. Let me ask this question. Who in here is 45 years old or younger? Raise your hand real high. Wow. Okay, y’all put your hands down. Who would have liked to have raised their hand right there? Jonathan, what's the big deal about 45? 45 years ago would have been when this conference started, and it was not the HI summer conference. Then it was the Holy Spirit rally out there on Blue Star, and yet here we are 45 years later participating in something that most of you in this room were not even alive when it started. That's the kingdom of God. It goes so far beyond us. It's so far beyond what we can comprehend. I got to tell you, I'm just happy to be a part of it. I'm just grateful to labor in our little small part, whatever that may be, because it's different for all of us, but to just labor in a little small part and see what God does in it is magnificent. And my hope tonight is that you would be challenged, that you would be comforted, that you would be encouraged, that you would be strengthened, and that the Holy Spirit would do a work far beyond what Jonathan could ever say. And I want to come right out of the scripture. I love this scripture. We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain. I don't know what you think about when you hear that. I don't know what you think about when you hear that. I don't know what you that word anchor. Most of us, I think, would probably think about a boat, you know, having a boat that's anchored or maybe a storm or something like that. But anchors matter the most when you're out on the water and you're in a storm. They matter the most when the storm comes, when the water is rough. Nobody really thinks about an anchor on a calm day when there's not much current, there's not much wind. You don't think much about it, but we think about it oftentimes when we're walking through a difficulty or think about it when life gets hard or difficult. And that's certainly part of the picture. But what about this sure and steadfast anchor that the writer of Hebrews talks about? He spins the whole book here, the book of Hebrews. We preached through it a few years ago at Destiny Life. Incredible book. The writer really spins the whole book, helping us to answer this one question. Why is our hope so secured? Why is our hope so anchored? And he begins at the very beginning. He says, beginning of this letter, spelling it out in the very first four verses of the book. And I want to come right out of the scripture. Look at Hebrews 1. It'll be on the screen here. Long ago, at many times and in many ways. In other words, God's not trying to hide himself. He said, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days, notice that did not say last day, right? That's a whole nother message. Last days, he has spoken to us by his son. In other words, he wasn't silent in the Old Testament, but now he sent someone even greater, his son, to speak. He says, this is my son whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. This is a beautiful verse. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature. That means when you look at Jesus, you can see the father. Now, this next verse is one of those verses that you just read and you just go on by it like you just read it. You just read it. You just read something. This is like, oh yeah, I just read that, but we really don't take the time. I've started in my own life reading the Bible slowly because I think you just, maybe it just takes me a little longer to get it, but just to read slowly and let it really get in. I want you to look at this. He upholds the universe by the word of his power. He can't even fathom that. He upholds the entire universe. He upoints the entire universe by the word of his power, not even the strength of his, the word of his power. We can't hold anything up by our words. Nothing. I mean, look at this pen. It's light. And if I threw this pen up, stay in the air. And if I did that a few more times, y'all would think I was a lunatic because we recognize that we can't hold anything up by our words. Think of something like a little feather or something that kind of floats through the air. You know, balloons, something that's actually lighter than air and it kind of stays up there. And maybe you come behind it and you, you blow it to keep it up in the air. You might remember when you're a kid and you're kind of, you see something in the air, dust or something, you blow it to keep it up in the air. Even that is not being sustained by your word. There is still an element of force to keep it sustained. And we serve a God that spoke and it stayed there and his word sustains it. He's not even holding it. He's not even holding it. He's not even holding it. He's not even holding it. He's not even holding it. He's not even holding it. He can put his hands in his pockets. Not just earth, the whole universe. Sometimes we get so narrowly focused. We put God, we create God in our own image. I do it too. We bring him down to our problems. And sometimes the cure for that in my own heart is to just back up and remember who I'm actually serving. I wonder, I read that verse and I think, Jonathan, why would you ever worry about anything? After making purification for our sins, he said, at the right hand of the majesty on high, having become as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than there. So the writer of Hebrews begins out by laying out his argument for the whole letter of Hebrews, which if you don't know what that is, it's just simply this, that Jesus is better and greater than the old covenant. He's writing mostly to Jews who had converted to Christianity and they're walking through heavy persecution. And evidently some of them are thinking about stepping back into Judaism. And he spends the whole book saying, don't do that because this covenant is way better. And he has three things. He basically lists three areas that a Hebrew would have thought were the greatest. And he says to them, Jesus is greater than those, the angels, he explicitly says it, Moses, because he's talking about the law itself. And then Aaron, which is the priesthood. He's saying Jesus is greater than all of these things. And there's a couple of truths that really emerged from these verses. Here's this first one. He says that God spoke. I want to say to you tonight, God has spoken. Here's the second one. Jesus sat down. And then here's the third one. Jesus is greater. Look, look at God spoke here for a second. He says he's spoken in many ways throughout history, showing how much that he desires to speak and communicate with his people. Wasn't it beautiful this morning when Marzia was sharing and she talked about her own experience where she saw Christ and he came to her. Isn't it amazing? You hear testimony after testimony of people around the world that lived in so-called closed countries where the gospel cannot overtly be shared in public and Jesus and angels and everything are appearing to people. Why does he do that? Because he loves humanity. He loves his church and he desires to communicate with them. The writer says here, he spoke to the prophets. He's spoken through a burning bush. He spoke through a donkey. Now y'all don't read that in the King James. You sanctified, folks. Don't read in the King James because it didn't say donkey. And he's probably spoken through some of those too. I couldn't resist that joke. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I could not resist that. Okay. Here's the question. He's spoken. Are we listening? Are we listening? And he says that Jesus sat down. You know what? That signals the work's complete. You don't sit down until it's done. The work was finished. The sacrifice was accepted. The victory had been secured. So what did he do? He sat down. In fact, in the book of Acts, the only time we see him standing up is when Stephen was martyred. You ever read that? He stood up. Other than that, he's sitting down. He says he's greater. Greater than what? The angels. Greater than Moses. Greater than Aaron. Greater than the Old Testament itself. In fact, the whole book is arguing Jesus is better. He's greater. He's supreme. So because he is greater, guess what? Our hope is greater. Because he is secure, guess what? Our hope is secure. Because he reigns, guess what? We can remain. And that really brings us back to Hebrews 6, where he tells us that there's an anchor for the soul. I want you to see this progression. God spoke. So that means that we know his promise. He sat down. That means we know that the work is finished. We know that he is greater. Therefore, our anchor. And he's about to tell us about it. An anchor only works if it's securely fastened to something. Ain't everybody been fishing? And you might get in a hurry to put the anchor down, and you throw the anchor down, and it's not attached to the boat. Anyone ever done that? Guess what just happened? You just lost it. And guess what else? It ain't going to work. You could have an anchor that's big enough for a cruise ship, and you could throw it out of a john boat, and it's not tied up. And guess what? That john boat's just going to keep right on trucking. It only works if it's attached to something. And before this writer tells us what the anchor is going to tell us, why we can trust it. And I'm going to tell you why we can trust it. Because the security of the anchor is rooted in the certainty of God's promise. This is the first point tonight, that we would be anchored in God's promise. Look at this amazing passage of scripture in Hebrews 6. He said, for example, Abraham, I love it. Since there was no one greater to swear by, God took an oath in his own name. He looked around and said, well, he said, I will certainly bless you, and I will multiply your descendants beyond number. Then Abraham waited patiently, and he had received what God promised. Now, when people take an oath, they call on someone greater than themselves to hold them to it. And without any question, that's what God promised. And he said, well, I will certainly bless you, and I will multiply you. Now, look at verse 17. God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind. We could shout and run around the church house right now. So God has given both his promise and his oath. Wow. These two things are unchangeable because it's impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. Now, look at what he says here. It leads us through the curtain into God's inner sanctuary. Jesus has already gone in there for us. He has become our eternal high priest in the order of a Kissel Day. See, this passage begins by him discussing the character of God. First, he says, God made a promise. And not only did he make a promise, he confirmed that promise with his oath. And by the way, he can't lie. See, the stability, church, for you and I as believers, here's what it's rooted in, the stability of the God that we serve. He's making a covenant and an oath with Abraham, and Abraham is the father of all of faith, and he cannot be trusted to hold that oath. So God said, I'm going to make an oath on my own self. See, the anchor holds because God is faithful. The anchor holds because God does not change. The anchor holds because God's promises cannot fail. And he says, we have this hope. And can I say to you, this is why biblical hope is not wishful thinking. You ever been around somebody that's just wishful thinking? When we get outside of the word of God, guess what that is? Wishful thinking. And it's okay to have that hope, but I got to say to you, it's not an eternal hope. And as Destined Life has heard me say many times, there are certain words in our vocabulary in English that we use over and over about things that could be massively apart. Like, I hope that after Jonathan gets done speaking tonight and we have service, I'm going to go to Brahms and I'm going to get me a mix. I hope I can go get a mix. If you don't know what a mix is, we're going to lay hands on you and bless you in the name of the Lord. Bar, double heath. Don't let me and Ron get together. We'd be quick to slide into Brahma. Oh, I don't think I'm supposed to say that out loud, Ronald. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. See, we hope on temporal things, but that's not biblical hope. Biblical hope is the confident expectations rooted in the reality of the promises of God that he will do exactly what he said he will do. Why? Because he can't lie. Now, the writer says there are hope enters behind the veil. What in the world does that mean? I mean, this is interesting. This is like a real picture. I want you to, you're going to have to kind of imagine with me for a moment, get a picture in your mind. Most of the time when you think of an anchor, an ancient anchor that he would have been talking about or a modern anchor, most of the time those anchors go downward, right? They go down into something to anchor you. And most anchors, again, when you're thinking about water, go down into beneath the water and it, but he says here, anchor disappears behind the veil into the heavens. Now, he talks about all of the Old Testament, the book of Hebrews, and he says all of that was a shadow of really what heaven looks like. And just like the high priest in the Old Testament would go behind the veil in the holly of hollies one time a year for the forgiveness of sins. And they tie a rope around him. You have some bells on him in case he has sin in his life to drag him out. The bell stopped ringing. They dragged him out. And it says that Jesus went into the holy of holies. And this is what he's talking about, that he went into the inner veil and he paid the price once for all. Now, again, I want you to get this picture. If I were to bring an anchor on the stage and I were to chuck it out here in the audience, it would have done exactly what this pen will do. It's just going to fall. But this writer of Hebrews is saying, we have an anchor that didn't go down. It went up. It went into the heavens. It's suspended, if you will, in the heavens. Jesus himself goes into the holy of holies and sacrifices himself once for all. And now I have an anchor that's not tied down here, but it's tied up here. What does that mean? That's when I fix my eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of my faith. God spoke. See, our confidence is not in circumstances. It's not in outcomes. It's not in what's happening around us. Here's what our confidence is in. Our confidence is in the way that we're doing. It's not in the way that we're doing. It's not in the way that we're doing. It's not in the way that we're doing. It's not in the one who is seated above us. If my confidence is what's happening here, I'm in trouble. It's okay to be blessed by that. It's okay to celebrate it. Thank God for victories that we see and fruit that we see. Wonderful. Celebrate it. But if my confidence is that all of that is going to stay the same for my whole life, then I've got a wrongly placed confidence. Our anchor holds. Here's why. Because God doesn't change. And if our anchor is secured in God's promise and it protects us from one of the dangers that I think is one of the greatest dangers facing every believer in every moment in history, and that's this, drift. An anchor keeps you from drifting. I was so appreciative of Marzia this morning. I just loved her boldness. I just loved her boldness. I love the reality of a wake-up call for those that exist in such political correctness that has run amuck that makes us idiots. Because not only are you asking me to love you where you're at, you're asking me to affirm you in it and tell you that it's right. I mean, it's crazy. And yet, we could just... Now, I've noticed something about the enemy. You know, maybe when you first get born again, maybe he slaps you in the face with some of those sins that really had you bound. But I've noticed something. As you grow in your Christian walk and you... What he does, he doesn't smack you in the face with it most of the time. He just inserts a little... He's just chipping away. So you just... It's the frog in the kettle. Y'all heard the frog in the kettle. If you hadn't heard the frog in the kettle when you're cooking frog legs, which I've never done, don't ever plan. You can't boil the water because if you boil the water, you put the frog in, he's going to jump right out. But guess what you do? You put him in that cold water and you turn the eye on and it just gets a little bit hotter and a little bit hotter. And that brother thinks he's in a hot tub. And before long, you're eating frog legs and he was none the wiser. And I wonder how many of us think we're in a hot tub. I wonder how many of us are just, oh man, this water feels good. See, the purpose of the anchor is to keep the vessel from being carried off somewhere it was never intended to go. Why you put the anchor down? One of the greatest gifts of a gathering like ATI is it really helps us to reanchor, if you will. It shows us some of those anchoring points and it helps us to remember what God's called us to. And I say to you, what keeps us standing above the surface is what's anchored beneath the surface. It's the foundations of our life. So maybe it's beneath the surface and also in the heavens. Nobody plans the drift. Very few people wake up and decide to abandon truth. Nobody wakes up and say, oh, I'm just going to abandon the truth today. We just stop paying attention. We just stop guarding what matters. Normally that drift is just gradual. Now, I know I'm talking to a bunch of people except you Florida folks that live in the middle of the country. You Florida folks are right there at the beach. So I've taken multiple people to see the beach for the first time, I think, from Oklahoma. So forgive me if you've never been swimming in the ocean. But you ever been swimming in the ocean and maybe there's a little bit of a current? And you got to have a focus. You got to have a focus. You got to have a focal point on the beach. Like normally it's your stuff or something because you can be in the ocean and just kind of messing around. I mean, you're not even necessarily under the water. You just mess around. And you look up and you're like, oh man, I'm a mile and a half down the beach. Now I got to get on the beach and walk back to my stuff. What happens? You just begin to drift and you're not even aware of it. Maybe this week the Lord would speak to you and this would be a moment maybe in your family, in your personal life, in whatever it is that you're walking through. And you're like, okay, I'm going to be anchoring moments. And here's the reason why that drift matters. Here's the reason why we have to be anchored is thirdly, because we have to be anchored when we're shaken. And if you've never been shaken, just wait five minutes, you're going to be shaken. You've never walked through challenges in your life. I promise you, you're going to walk through challenges in your life. The purpose of an anchor is not to stop the waves or stop the storm. If a storm came up, you wouldn't throw the anchor over in the water from a boat and think, okay, I've got my anchor in, the storm's going to stop. Why? Because the purpose of the anchor is not to stop the storm, it's simply to hold you where you are. Hebrews 12, look at this scripture. It says, at that time, his voice shook the earth, but now he's promised yet once more, I will shake not only the earth, but also the heavens. This phrase yet once more indicates the removal, listen to this, of things that are shaken. And then he tells you what they are. That is things that have been made. In other words, every single temporal thing in your life, guess what, can be shaken. But he tells you why that happens, in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken. Now, the writer here's quoting out of the book of Haggai about the building of the second temple, which if you know that story, he prophesied in it, and they started the temple. It was when they were returning back from exile, and they start it, and they get it to the foundation, then it stops and becomes a garbage heap. And Haggai, Zechariah began to prophesy over that, and he says to them that this temple is going to be more glorious than Solomon's temple, and they're looking at it, and they're in the natural. This would have been absurd, because what they see, it's not nearly as big. I mean, it was absurd for him to say that in the natural, but guess what? It ended up being more glorious. Why? Because the prophet's words came true. Now, they begin to worship it, and God destroyed it in AD 70 and all that, but the word came true here. Now, the immediate context, again, he's writing to Jews who converted Christianity. The immediate context of Hebrews 12 is the passing away of the old covenant. What do you mean by that, Jonathan? Well, the temple would be shaken. He's telling these people in AD 70, the temple's going to be shaken, which would have been the center of a person's life. Jerusalem's going to be shaken. Judaism's going to be shaken. In other words, that you're looking around at that's temporal is going to be shaken, and here's why it's going to be shaken, so that that which is eternal will remain. What's eternal? The kingdom that he said right there, you're receiving. Notice the tense of that verb. Right then, you're receiving the kingdom. They did receive the kingdom 2,000 years ago, and guess what? In 2026, guess what we're still doing? Receiving an eternal kingdom that cannot be shaken. Some of you that lived a lot generations, you recognize that every generation experiences shaking. The issue is not whether or not the shaking comes. The shaking is going to always come. Here's the issue. Will we remain? Will we remain? See, the writer of Hebrews, he wasn't telling the believers to fear the shaken. He was telling them, I want you to understand this. I want you to know why this shaking is coming, because what you've looked to, what you spent your whole life seeing, what has consumed your life, guess what? All of that's going to be shaken. You're going to be shaken. You're going to be shaken, and it's going to all be gone, but I don't want you to worry, because what you've received will not be shaken. The anchor is tested in the storm. The foundation is revealed in the shaken. Can I say to you, methods change. Cultures shift, but guess what happens, church? God remains. His promises, what? Remain. His kingdom remains. We don't fear shaking, because we belong to an unshakable kingdom. Now, it's not comfortable. I'm not necessarily asking for it. I'm not out there trying to be shaken, but guess what? It's going to happen. It's going to happen. God shakes. Listen to this, church. God shakes what's temporary so that what is eternal becomes more visible. You ever had something in your life that you depended on, and you didn't even realize you depended on it, and God removed it, and you realized that you depended on it, and then when he removed it, he gave something to you that was not temporal, but it was eternal? Multiple. If you've not walked through that in your life, I'm going to encourage you, ask the Lord. Ask the Lord to reveal himself to you. The anchor is not valuable because there's no shaking. The anchor is valuable because there is shaking. If the sea is fine, the wind is fine, I don't even need the anchor. I need the anchor when everything is being shaken. That means if I'm going to be anchored, guess what? I'm going to be shaken. The message of Haggai and Hebrews, for that matter, was never for the people to focus on the shaking. The message was focus on what God is establishing through this shaking. You might have come to this conference, and maybe things are going great. If that's you, man, praise God. Let's enjoy the good times. I shouldn't say it that way, because guess what? All the times are good when you're serving God. I'll say it this way. Maybe you're experiencing a more enjoyable time. That's great. Praise the Lord for it. We need that. Maybe you came and say, man, Jonathan, I don't even know which way's up. I'm confused. I don, you know, I mean, man, I'm just battling, and that could be in an array of areas. I want you to be encouraged tonight. There is an anchor for your soul. There is an anchor for your soul. There is an anchor for your soul. For your soul. But ultimately, the anchor is not a principle. It's not a doctrine. It's not, here's what it is. Here's who it is. It's Jesus. Y'all knew that, didn't you? I mean, y'all already skipped. That's not a surprise to you. I'm inviting a worship team to come. I got to be anchored in the promises of God. I got to be anchored so I don't drift. I got to be anchored because there's a shaking to come. But here's ultimately the reality of a church. I got to be anchored to Christ. I got to be anchored to Christ. And I want to read this passage here in Colossians. Y'all might have, if we can see it, it'd be great, wherever y'all need to stand. Yet, I just want to read this slowly. This is a beautiful passage. The image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. I love this part. For by him, all things were created in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through him and for him. He is before all things and in him, all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He's the beginning. The firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him, all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross. Paul fit so much in so few words, it's unbelievable. And you who were once alienated and hostile in your mind, doing evil deeds, he's now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him. And he's now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him. If indeed you continue in the faith, if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard. Let me read another passage out of Ephesians. I'm going to read out the amplified bible. They call it the amplified bible because it'll take a Greek word and amplify it. Chapter one, famous to many of you for this reason, because I've heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God's people. I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my presence. I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my presence. I always pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the father of glory may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation. I love this part here that gives you a deep and personal and intimate insight into the true knowledge of him, for we know the father through the son. And I pray that the eyes of your heart, the very center and core of your being may be enlightened. What does that mean? Flooded with light by the Holy Spirit. I pray that the eyes of your heart, the very center and core of your being may be enlightened. I pray that the eyes of your heart, the very center and core of your being may be understood. What does that mean? Flooded with light by the Holy Spirit, so that you will know and cherish the hope, the divine guarantee. Why? Because he cannot lie. He's made a promise, he's taken an oath, and he cannot lie. So that you will know and cherish the hope, the divine guarantee, the confident expectation to which he's called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, God's people. And so that you will begin to know what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of his active spiritual power is in us who believe. We can come back to that in a minute again, a mouthful. These are in accordance with the working of his mighty strength, which he produced in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his own right hand in heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, whether angelic or human, and far above every name that is named. Above every title that can be conferred, not only in this age and world, but also in the one to come. And he put all things in every realm in subjection under Christ's feet and appointed him as supreme and authoritative over or head over all things in the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills and completes all things in all believers. Wow. We could read that passage every day for the next year and still not mine all the beauty and treasure in there. Let me give you a couple of thoughts for it. These are simple, but here's the first one. If Paul prayed this for them, then it must not be something that just happened. If I could just know God by just knowing him in some way, Paul would have not said, I'm praying that you'd know God better. Here's my prayer for you. He said a lot of great things about God, but here's ultimately what he said. I'm praying that you would know God better. So that means if that just happened, then why in the world would Paul pray for it? Just happened by osmosis. Why would he pray for it? Here's the second thing, and this might be obvious, but again, sometimes stating the obvious is good. This is a spiritual understanding, not an intellectual understanding. There's something that happens in the spirit for me to know God better. I can know about God in my mind. I can read about God. I can know things about him and God has used people's intellect and their mind to lead them to revelation in God. I realize he does that, but if you're going to really know God in a way to really know him and be born again, it cannot just be this. It's got to be in the depths of our spirit. He didn't even pray for God to do anything or give them stuff. How many times do we pray over people and we want God to move on their behalf? Now, I'm not saying that's bad or wrong to do that, or for God to supply for them. Again, not wrong or bad to do that, but when's the last time we just prayed straight out over somebody, God, I'm praying that they would know you better. Because if they know him better, all that other stuff is, look at this too. He's not praying for more power. I think about that song. I don't remember who's saying it now. I got the power. I like that song, maybe the song. He's not praying for more power. He's not saying they need power. He's just praying that they would actually know the power. I like random facts. I just like them. I don't know why I like them, but I do. I think I've probably said this before, maybe at DLC, one of the messages I ran across this as I was just praying through the message and prepping the message. And I remember this analogy of how many molecules, that they are in one drop of water. Anybody know that answer? Come on, guys. You didn't study before you came. I mean, come on. I'm going to give you the number. You ready for it? 1.67 sextillion. Jonathan, you say sextillion. You're not that kind. You're not that kind. 1.67 sextillion. Now, it's hard for us to get our mind around that. That is a number that has 21 zeros behind it. That's that number. Let me write. That's molecules. In one drop of water. Mind blowing, right? There's more molecules in a tablespoon of water than there are stars in all of the universe. One tablespoon. Y'all be taking your medicine different tonight, aren't you? You be taking 1.67 sextillion. Now, if you want to really boggle your mind, there's over 75,000 drops of water in one gallon of water. It's something that we would just totally take for granted. Happening, you know, I guess microscopic is amazing. Now, this is the one that's mind blowing to me. You ready for it here? In one drop of water. Put that next slide up there, would you? There are almost as many molecules in one drop of water as there are drops of water in all the oceans on planet Earth. Let me say that again. There are almost as many molecules in one drop of water as there are drops of water in all the oceans on the planet Earth. There are almost as many molecules in one drop of water as there are drops of water in all the oceans on the planet Earth. Now, again, I'm a geek like that. That's mind blowing to me. Anybody else mind blown by that? Y'all, it may be y'all too. Okay. Y'all, y'all are too cool. Y'all are too cool. You're hanging out with Michael Black. Y'all are too cool in here. Michael Black was passing a note. You know how you pass a note in 2026? You text somebody on the other side of the thing. That's how you pass a note. I caught him, so I had to call him out right there. Jonathan, why would you, I mean, who cares? I mean, who cares how many molecules are in one drop of water? It's a mind blowing number that we can't even begin to understand. We can't even begin to get our mind around, and yet somebody measured it. I don't know who it was, but somebody somewhere said there is 1.67 sextillion molecules in one drop of water, and even though the number itself is mind blowing, guess what it is? Measurable. And Paul says right here, let me just go back and read that. He says, and so that you will begin to know what is the immeasurable, unlimited, and surpassing greatness of his active spiritual power in us who believe the God we serve, that his power is immeasurable. See, church, the ultimate answer is Jesus himself. He is our hope. He's our high priest. He's our king. He's the one behind the veil. He's the one seated at the Father's right hand. He's the one who secured the promise. He's the one who's the church. You know, I started off by saying it's been going for 45 years. ATI, as we would know it today, has existed for maybe 30 years or something. I mean, it was a long time before it was named, and I love and appreciate the value of longevity. I'm grateful for that, but you know what can happen at times when, you know, a group or a person or something has been around for a long time? We can start depending more on methods and strategies and thoughts and ideas than we do the God who gives us all of those methods and strategies and ideas instead of Christ. Why? Because methods change, strategies change, programs change, generations change, but church, Christ does not change. In fact, the same book, Hebrews 13, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. I'm grateful, as I said, of just the longevity of this body of believers and so many other believers in this conference and coming together in June, and I'm honored that God would honor us in that way and that myself included, we'd be able to eat of the fruit of the labor of people that have labored for many, many years, but this isn't, and it can't ever be a look at us type proposition. It's not a testimony of what anyone or any group of people have built, even though, please hear me, there's been massive, massive, massive, massive, massive, massive, massive, massive, massive, massive, massive labor. But here's what it's a testament to, and here's what it's a testimony to. It's a testimony is that in every season, Christ has been faithful. He is the anchor in the stormy sea. He's the anchor that holds us secure, and he's the anchor that sustains our life. So it's not about what we do, even when we stand before God. Let's labor hard in the kingdom church, but it's, it's minimal. It's not our gifts. It's not our all-star. It's like, it's him. Put that first verse back up there, would you? Hebrews 6, 19. We have this, this, this hope as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain. Why is it sure? Why is it sure? Because God's promise can't fail. Why is it sure? Because God's promise can't fail. Why is it steadfast? Because Christ's work is finished. He's not trying to figure it out. Why is it an anchor? Because it holds when we can't hold. It holds when we can't hold. It's of the soul because it secures what matters most. So when we're thinking about tonight and in your heart, and this is where I want to really end it, and I want us to have just a moment, worship with the Lord today. I wonder if the Lord might be asking some of us this very simple question. What are you anchored to? What are you anchored to? What are you standing on? You know, in life, when things go awry, where do I lean? And can I say to you, church, as much as I value joint supply and joint and friends, we need brothers and sisters in Christ and be strengthened by, can I say to you, sometimes even those relationships can get before God and be an idol to where we go to them before we go to God. We'll take a great thing, a God ordain thing, and we'll mess it up because we'll put it ahead of Him. What are you anchored to? Because can I say to you, all of us are anchored to something. Every one of us is anchored to something. Some are anchored to circumstances. Some of us are anchored to outcomes. We're really hoping that works out. Some of us are anchored to job success or quote-unquote ministry. Some of us are anchored to something. Some of us are anchored to ministry success. Some of us are anchored to methods. Some of us are anchored to what used to work in a previous season. God's told you to let it go and move on, and you can't. You're trying to drag it with you. And when these things begin to shake, guess what happens? We shake with them. Hebrews reminds us that the anchor was never meant to be attached to earthly things. Our anchor is attached to the throne of God. Think of that. Our anchor disappears behind the veil. It's attached to the one who spoke. It's attached to the one who sat down. It is attached to the one who is greater. It's attached to the one that doesn't change. It's attached to the one that remains. I say to you, I don't think tonight is a moment for us to strive. In other words, we're not asking and we're not praying and saying, Lord, help me do better. Can I go out of here and just do better? No, no. I think that maybe tonight is a moment for re-anchoring. Maybe this conference, as we kick off tonight, is a good opportunity to say, Lord, would you show me where maybe I'm anchored to the wrong thing? Because subtly drifting, maybe some of you have been walking through a season of shaking. Maybe some are more conscious of the waves than you are the anchor. Maybe some have become more aware of what's changing than aware of Christ who never changes. But the invitation tonight is not for us to focus on the storm. The invitation is for us to look fresh and new at Christ, the anchor of our soul, the one behind the veil, the one seated at the Father's right hand, the one who secured the one who sustains us as his church, the one holding together everything by the word of his power. It's powerful. So why don't we just take a moment and just respond to him tonight? Maybe you're here and you say, Lord, would you anchor me fresh and new? Would you anchor me in your promise? Would you guard me from drifting where I've drifted? Would you give me grace to remain in every season. Of shaking, would you fix my eyes again on you, Jesus? Would you stand with me? And we just lift our hands to the Lord. And I'm going to pray. Hold on one second, guys. I'm going to pray. And as I pray, I want you to just pray out in your own heart, the Holy Spirit talking to you about whatever it is he's talking to you about. Father, we thank you tonight that our hope is secured because of you, Jesus. I thank you tonight that your anchor is not attached to things on this throne in heaven, on the inside, the inner sanctuary. I thank you for it. I thank you, Lord, that when everything else that's temporal can be shaken, your kingdom remains, your promise remains, your church remains, and you, Christ, remain. Lord, where there's been a drift, would you re-anchor us? Where there's been weariness, will you strengthen us? Where there's been shaking, would you remind us of our citizenship in heaven. Lord, I thank you for that. Our citizenship in your kingdom, in your rule and reign, would you fix our eyes again on you, Jesus? And Lord, not simply just for this week at this conference, but may it be a re-anchoring moment in our lives. Would you show us what you desire to do? You, Christ, who are the anchor of our soul. You who are an anchor of our soul. Guys, would you just sing over us tonight? Let's just take a moment and worship the Lord. Lord, you might want to do that in your seat. You might want to come here at the altar, whatever's appropriate for you, and just begin to call out to God. Begin to say, Lord, would you re-anchor me this week? Would you speak to me this week? Would you show me this week? Would you do what you want to do? I've come with expectations, but really my expectation, to sing it over us, just begin to declare it over us. We make this declaration. You're faithful, Lord. You are faithful to a thousand. A thousand generations. You're faithful. We make this declaration. You, Lord. Come on, sing it over your house. You're faithful to a thousand generations. You're the anchor of our soul. We hold to this assurance of your resurrected life. The hope of our salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ. We hold to this assurance of your resurrected life. The hope of our salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ. We hold to this assurance of your resurrected life. It's all for you, Lord. The hope of our salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ. We hold to this assurance of your resurrected life. Thank you, Lord. Of an insurrected life. Thank you, Lord. The hope of salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ. I still should die. Declare it's not almighty. Hail the Lord, your most high. Jehovah apple, the blood that heals my life. You are the God eternal. My master, I don't die. You are the God who dwells in the spirit. You are Emmanuel. Emmanuel. Emmanuel. Emmanuel. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Emmanuel. You're our hope. You're our anchor here. Emmanuel. Come on, sing a church. I still should die. Declare it's not almighty. Hail the Lord, your most high. Jehovah apple, Jehovah apple, the God that heals my life. You are the God eternal. My master, I don't die. You are the God who dwells in the spirit. You are Emmanuel. Emmanuel. Oh, Emmanuel. Emmanuel. Emmanuel. You're here. You are here. I think we're to do one more thing. I want you to be open, vulnerable, and family. And that word that was just spoken, if you would be in the room, that you would be in the room, that you would be in the room, you would say, could I have my brothers and sisters lay hands on me to strengthen me where I am? You won't even have to move out of your seat. There's enough of people around you that when you respond to that, that you would say yes, and we want to lay hands on one another and pray. I believe there is a specific call for that because we're strengthened by one another and strengthened by the confidence that's in Christ. And if you respond in your heart, you say, Glenn, I want that. Would you just raise your hand where you are and we're going to respond to you. Hold it up. Keep it up for just a moment. We're family. If somebody's got their hand up, would you step over, move over, and pray because Christ that's in them and Christ that's in you, I'm telling you, it is real. It is real. Lord, I don't care what the circumstances are. I don't know if they're physical. If they're financial, If they're spiritual, if they're whatever they are and they're walking through right now, Lord, they're anchored in you and the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in them. And Lord, you're able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can think or ask according to the power that is at work, that same Holy Spirit that's at work. That's it. Go ahead and pray. Just spend some time for just a moment praying. Prayer. Lord, we thank you for it. We thank you, Lord. We bless you. We bless you. We bless you. We honor you. Right now, praying over one another. That's it, church. Powerful. Powerful. Even whether you know them or not, your prayer right there from the Lord, in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. We bless you, Father. This is important tonight, church. This is important tonight, body. This is important. This is not wasted time. There's some real work going on right now. Some real work going on right now. Real work. Real work that's happening. Real work. Real work. Real work. Real anointing. Christ himself. Christ himself in his body. It's his body. It's Christ himself. Oh, Father. Strengthen, establish, and anchor every person by the Spirit that this conference work in us. A creative word. A creative word that works in us by Your Spirit. There's a real work going on right now. Just thank You for being obedient. Not being in a hurry. That's important. Don't want to move past this word too quickly. Bless you, Father. We bless you, Father. Sometimes in these meetings and these moments, God can heal some things in you you don't even know you need healed. I have a sense in my heart God's going to do that this week, and so I'm praying that way. Lord, sometimes in the moment, in the presence of people who really believe. I watched you worship tonight. There's not one person in this room that does not want to be here. When you put forth the effort, the cost, the money, and the desire to come together like you do at a conference, there's just a different atmosphere. It's not a normal gathering. It's abnormal, if you mean, because you desire so earnestly, and you come with such expectation, and there's such grace in you, in Christ. That's why it has the effect on one another. That's why it's important for us when we come together. There will not be any insignificant nights, no insignificant mornings. Those moments I've watched the Holy Spirit work in those moments, you won't even without expectation sometimes. It's like our eyes are open. Wait a minute. There's a presence, an anointing among this particular group. Because you've wanted to be together. There's an expectation. Wow. You may be seated, if you like, for just a moment. Thank you, Jonathan, for bringing the word. Can you tell them that God bless you for that word? Thank you, brother. Thank you. I appreciate your leadership. I appreciate who you are. There's so much I could say about him that I don't get a chance to say all the time, but it's very, very, very grateful. Very, very grateful for those that God puts in our lives, aren't you? Our registration, as much as we'd love for everybody to be fed, the feasibility, the logistics is not possible. So we have a registration for that because we have to have a headcount. And really, all that money goes to the food. All your registration is just for the food. Nothing goes to anything else in the conference. And that tells you a little bit about what food costs these days. So we wish that we didn't have to make a distinction and say, okay, those of you who go through that door, if you're not registered, you can't. But we have to, okay? You understand. So, DOC is so blessed every year to be the host. And we have host families that give of themselves and all those things. And so it's such a blessing. At the same time, people travel a long ways to be here. And we honor that. But we want you to partner with us tonight in a gift of offering of sacrifice into ATI. And I'm unashamedly able to receive this offering because I know what it does. It covers conferences. It covers some travels, both international and here. And as you can see, we use most of it. 30 percent of it is for conferences. Okay? So most of it's used for that. And about 40 percent or so is used for travels. And the others for areas of administration, very limited administration, and some areas of blessings of pastors and projects from time to time. So that's how we operate. So I want to ask you to get out your... Look, they already have it here, don't they? And forgive us for that measly little $50. Would you forgive us for that? Would you forgive us? Don't hold that against us. Would you? You put in what you will, ATI. But if you type in text to Gil, you can put ATI in the dollar amount. Okay? And that will go directly into the account. And if you've never done that, you can attach that to your ACH, or if it's short giving, you can use a credit card. As regular givers, we tie it to our ACH, but give that way. Or there's offering envelopes in the seat back in front of you. And if you did not come to Not prepared to Give, we want to give you an opportunity to do that, because we believe that these conferences should and can pay for themselves. Last year, with it all said and done, I think we came out about even on all of it. Am I right? Somewhere in there, I'm looking for those that might know. Yeah. So really, it was a first time in a long time. So people really gave sacrificially, and they gave out. So I'm going to give you a chance to do that. I'm going to pray for this offering just to go to the Lord. And we're going to actually receive it. We often just have offering containers in the back. We're going to let the brethren come in just a moment and pass the offering container. You can give by text as well, and give you a moment to do that. So we're going to leave that on the screen for the rest of the evening, give you a chance to do that. Sometimes it takes a while to get registered in that particular area. So let's just take a moment and offer this to the Lord. Father, we thank you for this church family, really, that have given of themselves time and money and sacrifice, taking off work and income to bring their families and to be here. And Lord, it's because there's a divine purpose, a divine connection, and we honor that. And Lord, if we could, we'd just give all back to them for their trip. And I ask you, Lord, to meet every need for this conference, above and beyond, that the people be supplied and ministered to.
