So Father, we just echo really what Callie declared, that you are worthy forever. God, you were worthy, you are worthy, and you forever will be worthy of our affection, of our praise, of our adoration, of our life and our focus, every breath of our lungs, every bit of activity and energy we spend in this world, God. You are worthy of it all, forever and ever, and we're so thankful for that. And Lord, let that be the center of why we gather today, to declare that you're worthy. God, it's not an obligation, it's not a cultural phenomenon just for us to be here today. God, we want to declare that you're worthy, not to check a box, not to feel good about ourself, but to declare how good you are, how faithful you are, how powerful you are, how worthy you are. God, how holy you are, forever and ever. It's in your name we pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. Hey, you can grab a seat.
Man, what a great time of worship. What a great focusing into why we gather today. And just encourage more of that as the service goes on, that God would be just so kind and faithful. And thoughtful and considerate to meet with us today in this room. You're not here by accident. So we're going to move forward into a time of worship through our tithe, worship through our offering as well. And thank you so much for those of you who call Move Church Home and practice the discipleship and the formation of tithing. God has done so much through that. It's just an opportunity for us to to just continue to beat down our flesh and to say, God, you're our God and money is not our God. And that really is what tithing does. It combats that on a weekly basis because there's only one God. Scriptures say we can't love, we can't serve both God and money. And so in these moments, we're confronted with a reality on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis. Who's our God? Do we trust ourselves or do we trust God?
And so I'm just so thankful that so many of you faithfully continue to put trust in God in these areas and say, God, I trust you with 90% of what I think I could do on my own with 100%. And so we're gonna continue into this time together. We're gonna practice this together. If this is your first time here or you're not a member of MOVE, hey, this is not for you. But for those of you who call MOVE Church home, this is our practice today. So let's get our hearts ready to tithe. But before we do that, I forgot one more thing. This is Mission Sunday. So I just wanna report faithfully on missions and what your money, part of what your money goes to. We just had a group come back from Panama and God did so much. I was talking with Jonathan about the work that went on while they were there. And just know, the kingdom of God is on the move in Panama. We had such a great group with the Schroeders, the Foxes. We had Judah go, Maddie go, Brianna go. I mean, it was... Am I missing anybody? I think that's everybody. Yeah. And just the reports of God at work is cool. And then on top of that, we were able to give $1,000 to relief efforts in Venezuela this last month as well. Jerry Vaughn, one of the missionaries that we support, he has in-routes, into Venezuela, which is still just in like complete upheaval of government and economics and everything over there. And in fact, no one can get into Venezuela, but Jerry has so many relationships that he's built and labored with the church over the years that we were able to get $1,000 over there to help them in some relief efforts to bless some families during total chaos. And our money was... Your money was going to those things. So you played a part in those relief efforts. And so, just always want to highlight the fourth Sunday, the things God is doing in missions.
And so, those dollars really have played a part over the last month. Okay. So let's prepare our hearts to give. If you have the app, you can give on the app. You have physical money. We have the containers in the back that you can place your money in during that time. But let's read this together. Holy Father, there is nothing I have that you have not given me. All I have and am belong to you, bought with the blood of Jesus. To spend everything on myself and to give without sacrifice is the way of the world that you cannot abide. But generosity is the way of those who call Christ their Lord, who love Him with free hearts and serve Him with renewed minds, who withstand the delusions of riches that chokes the Word, whose hearts are in your kingdom and not in the systems of the world. I am determined to increase in generosity till it can be said that there is no needy person among us. I am determined to be trustworthy with such a little thing as money that you may trust me with true riches. Above all, I am determined to be generous because you, Father, are generous. It is the delight of your daughters and sons to share your traits and show what you are like to all the world. Amen.
All right, I got to grab a few things and then we will get into the message today. So what I want you to do for the next like 15 seconds, turn to your neighbor, ask them how their weekend was, and then I'll tell y'all to be quiet.
Ready, go. For my introverts, you only have 10 more seconds. Man, nobody had any good weekend plans because y'all only talk for seriously six seconds. I am so sad. Hopefully you guys did have a good weekend. But before we get started, I just wanted to give a shout out. Special guests in the house today, Ms. Caroline Olivia Lowry in the house today. Can we give it up for the Lowry's? Let them know we love you guys. So glad y'all are in the house today. Okay. We're glad y'all are here. Love you, Scott. If you have your Bibles, turn with me to Ephesians chapter three. We're going to close out chapter three in Ephesians today. All right, we're going to be in verses 20 and 21. I've loved this series. I love the power of the Holy Spirit. I love the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Like I know most of you, if you've been through 101 or 201, or you've seen our distinctives, if you've called, if you're, if you're a member of MOVE, you know that we are a charismatic Pentecostal theology leaning church in the sense. And all that means is like that we believe that the gifts of the Spirit are for the day. We believe that the Holy Spirit is active in the world. And we're going to see that on display. Say not, and here's the thing, sometimes we hear that it can like, you might get like all, you feel weird or you feel like, oh man, it's about to get kooky. Someone's about to bring flags out. There's going to be fire tunnels. I know like we just believe that the things in the Bible that we read in the New Testament, they're still active and they still happen today. That's really ultimately what we believe. And I'm so thankful for the power of the Holy Spirit. This is what Paul has been praying. Like verse 14 says, for this reason, I bow to my knees before my father, right? He's praying. He's saying, hey, there is a power at work in the world. And it's not your own power. It's not your own strength, but it is the power, the power of the Holy Spirit. And I just want to read verses 20 and 21, and then we'll get into our talk, our message for today.
All right. So verse 20 of chapter three says this, now to him who is able to do far more abundantly. Look, pause, look, see, I told you we're not kooky, crazy Pentecostals because this scripture, if I wanted to, I could really just like nail down. We could all be up, hooping and hollering and all this stuff, but Hey, we're just going to talk through the scripture. Cause there's a lot in this scripture that I hope we can understand today. Look, the kids back there, they heard me say the scripture and they're hooping and hollering in there. All right now to him, who is him, Jesus, who is able to God, the father actually, but now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the, the power that is at work within us, the Holy spirit power to him, be glory in the church and in Jesus and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever and ever. Amen. I love this because Paul, what he's trying to say here in verse 20 now to him, who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think he's like really pressing into, Hey, what you think you know about the power of God, there's actually more. This is what he does in the Greek is he uses this or he just piles just like adjectives on top of each other to describe, Hey, what you think you know about the power of God, there's actually more to the power of God than you know, more than you can think more than you can imagine. And I know because we've heard this scripture so many times, or maybe you've been in like a youth service or an event where this has been said and you like fill it and your heebie jeebies and all that. Like we can kind of gloss over this. So I want you to understand what, Paul really is trying to do here in one of the most basic ways I possibly can. If we can throw Maddie, can throw that picture up on the screen. I want you to see this. All right.
Oreos. Who likes Oreos? Anybody? Oreos is probably one of the greatest cookies of all time. But look at the very back. I love this. You can get a history lesson on Oreos, by the way, Oreos, like very back. You can't even see that's a regular Oreo, plain, regular Oreo. And we know that those are trash, regular Oreos. Because in 1974, outside of like the gift of the internet and all of that, the greatest invention of all time was the double stuff Oreo. Right? Amen. Got some amens in the house today. Double stuff Oreos. The next thing we couldn't keep the Oreo as is, Hey, there's more to the Oreo. There's a double stuff Oreo. That happens in 1974. Then in 2013, they're like, Hey, there's more to an Oreo than you could possibly think. No longer do we have a, but we can't keep it as a double stuff Oreo. You need to know we can actually fit more cream in the middle of these two cookies than you, than you actually think you can. So I've got to give you more language to a double stuff, which is the mega stuff Oreo. 2013, we get a mega stuff Oreo. And just when you think in your human brain that there is no way, that there is no way, physically possible, that you could possibly scram more cream into two chocolate cookies in 2019. Come on, right before COVID. God knew what he was doing. He was paving the way. Right before COVID in 2019, the most cream, the most stuff Oreo came out. Most cream ever. So it's the same Oreo, but what Nabisco was doing, what Nabisco was doing, is they were giving you language. Cause it's the same cookie, right? It's the same exact cookie, but they wanted to add some adjectives to it. It's not just Oreo. It's a double stuff Oreo. Not just a double stuff. It's a mega stuff. And now we've got the most stuff.
This is what, you can take the Oreos off the screen because everybody's going to be hungry now. This is what Paul is trying to do in verse 20. What you think you know about the power of God, there is actually more to the power of God than you know. There is an abundant power, not just an abundant power. There's more than that. There's far more abundantly is what the scripture says. So what you need a point one of God's power. Cause I want us, my hope today is that we get fresh revelation of the power of God. And I'll explain to you by the end with this fresh, what this fresh revelation does for my life, what it does for your life as well. Point one is this. God is active. He's attentive and he's inexhaustible. He is able to do infinitely more than we ask or even dare to think. So let's, let's break this down. His power is not just enough for your life. Let's start there. The power of God, what Paul's trying to talk to the Ephesians about, and what I would love to echo to you today is the power is not just enough for your life. It's more than enough for your life. But check this out. It's not just more than enough for your life. It's abundantly more than enough for your life. It's not just abundantly more for your life. In fact, it's immeasurable, immeasurably, infinitely, endlessly more than you could ever ask or think or imagine. I can't stress that enough. I'm not going to lie. It's a little disheartening to say that and have some eyes just kind of gloss over this morning. I know it's Sunday morning because we're talking about the power of God today, guys. I hope, I cannot stress this enough. There is more to the power of God for your life than you possibly can think. I thought I know a lot about the power of God. And then something will happen in my life and I'll realize, oh, there's way more to the power of God than I thought. I don't know about you, but maybe you would be grateful and thankful to know that there is not a limit to the end of what you know to be the power of God, because you find yourself in new situations or you'll find yourself in new instances or circumstances. And I don't know about you, but you would be glad to know, oh, wow, everything I thought I knew about God, there's actually more to the power of God. God doesn't just care about this one little thing in my life. God cares about all of it. Actually, God cares about more than just my life. He cares about my wife's life, my kid's life. My friend's life, my church family's life. He cares about not just our lives, but the world around us. He cares that much. And His power stretches to all of those places. So what you think you know is so limited to the limitlessness of God's power.
That's good, that's good. And here's the thing. We live in a world where we know power is important, right? Cam and the team are super excited and thankful that power came back to that soundboard before the second song started today, because that was going to be a real conundrum when we're all singing acapella, right? We're thankful for that power. Some of you are thankful that we now have power in our air conditioning units, so we're not sweating again. We're thankful for Alabama power, but we're not thankful for these ridiculous charges that they're giving us, but we're thankful for the power that comes. We recognize power is important. Even, man, I'm gonna, I'm gonna fall over this today. But we think about these guys, these phones. They run off of power, right? Not only do they, like, there are ways that we know how much power we have on this. I don't know about you guys, but I can see instantly. I need to know that my phone's at 86% battery. So I know I've got, I've got, I've got enough battery right now to do whatever I need to do power-wise. But if that thing started to get low, there's several things I could do, right? Several things I could do. I'll bring up my bag of tricks this morning. What could I do? Well, obviously, the first one is I'll use this. We know the importance of this thing for an iPhone to power it, to charge it through the night. You know, some of those days where you wake up and your phone, I do not trust the little ones you sit your phone on. This is the GOAT. This is, like, you can trust the power that's gonna come out of this bad boy. You're not gonna wake up and your phone didn't charge in the middle of the night, right?
But if my phone is getting low, I'm gonna charge it. It's a full-on power. I can use this! I understand the importance of power to accomplish what needs to happen in this, right? But say I didn't have that. Well, we could go to our next little tool. That's my last tool. And go to this little guy. This is a portable. Anybody got one of these portable? YouTube convinced me when I was traveling the Disney world that I needed one of these in order to, because my phone was gonna die. So I can plug this in and if as long as this thing's charged, I can get power again, right? But say I didn't even have this. I could also have on my phone the ability to put it in power saving mode, right? We have that too. So we can keep more power for it. Last case scenario, I got one of these bad boys. I'm gonna plug it up and then boom. Oh, look, it's actually charging right now, right? So I'm gonna be at 87% before service is over with. But we know, hey, like I need power.
Power, this phone needs power for it to do the things it needs to do. And if it doesn't, it's just a dead phone, right? And so like what I think is like how often, again, like we just saw three different ways, four different ways that we can keep power in our phone. Like how often do we rely on the Lord for that type of power in our lives, right? How many things do we have set in place? Say, God, I don't wanna ever get to a phone. To a point where my spiritual tank is empty, that it's dead, it's off, right? I wanna constantly, that's what Jesus constantly says, abide in me, abide in me. But even this example is so small. Like you could probably take some of those instances and say, okay, well, I'll relate that to my life. I'll relate, I can plug in, I can abide in the Lord with these certain things and I'll spiritually, I'll be charged. But it'll be like, what are the go-tos, right? I'll spend more time in the word or I'll make sure that I don't go to the lake every Sunday, right, I can come to church at least twice a week. Maybe only miss two Sundays in a summer. I can do all these different things. I can spiritually charge myself up or I'll have more quiet time in the day or instead of listening to the Joe Rogan podcast, then maybe instead I'll listen to, you know, worship music on my drive to work today, right? We know the things that we would say would spiritually charge us, right? But here's the thing. That's what we think we know about the power of God. What did I say at the very beginning? What was I really stressing? There is infinite, infinite thought, limitless thought to the power of God. So what does that mean? With the power of God, you don't have to plug in to anything. God's power is inexhaustible. It's never going to go out in your life. So maybe you don't feel, like you're spiritually charged. Well, look, it's not a, what's the word? It's not to the point where you have to find an outlet to plug yourself into. God's not asking you to plug yourself into an outlet.
He's asking for you to realize how limitless his power source is. We don't need a charger because of the spirit of God that's in us. We don't need a charger. The same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead. It's the same spirit that is in us today. The same exact spirit. We don't have to charge it up. It's not going out. That is such a small view of life with Christ. That's such a small, limited view of the power of Christ in your life. What Paul's trying to say to the Ephesians, what I'm trying to say today is, let's expand our view of the power of God because we do live in a world where we really think that we have to be the ones to plug ourselves up, that we have to do certain things in order to achieve, in order to acquire the power of God. And that is so limited. And that's honestly a worldly view. And I'm here today to really just encourage you and say, look, the power of God is limitless. Please see that the power, the spirit that's inside of you, the Holy Spirit of God that is inside of you has all the power it needs. We don't have to charge ourselves up. We don't have to charge ourselves up anymore. Because here's the truth, right? If you don't feel like you've plugged yourself up or if you don't feel like your spiritual battery is charged, what happens? Well, it's a lot harder to resist temptation, right? I haven't been in the Word or I've been consuming content that I don't need to consume. And so it's really easier, it's a lot easier to stumble or to fall or I haven't spent time with the Lord so I feel like God's far away from me, right? Maybe you've ran the gamut on some of those things because you feel like you're ultimately the one that's responsible for how much power you do or don't have, right? Which is not the truth. The power of God is limitless in your life. Your spiritual battery is not dead. Your spiritual battery does not need to be charged. It's as powerful as it ever has been. You just have to realize, realize the fullness of the power of God in your life.
I don't know about you, but that's encouraging to me for someone who really does depend on his own strength and his own power and his own efforts for so many things in this world. The fact that, and this is so counter-cultural to what our society would teach us because guys, we live in the most powerful nation currently. We live historically, and most likely arguably the most powerful dominant nation of all time. We are children of power. We're a culture, a state, a nation of power, but it's based off of effort and acquiring and doing. So let's do a lot of things. And that's how we get power. So we, of course, naturally that would move over to the spiritual. We do more things than we get spiritually more powerful. And that is so not the kingdom of God. God says, "'You were nothing and I've given you all power.'" All you need, all the power, all the power you, how about this? All the power you need to resist temptation is already in you through the Spirit of God. Pretty crazy, right? It's not based on any more things you could do for God. All the power you need to live a holy life before God is already in you. We don't have to acquire more power. It's just a revelation of the power of God in our life. That brings more to this exceedingly, abundantly, all that we ask or think according to the power that's at work, where? Within us, not outside of us that we acquire and bring within us.
It's already in you, is what Paul's saying. That power is in you. So then these scriptures, like what Jesus says in John 14, 12, Jesus says this, "'Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do, and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.'" This has always been the plan of Jesus. This is not some new wave thing, some ultra-Pentecostal thing in 2026. This has always been the thing. Jesus said, I am going to the Father, and the Spirit, the Comforter is coming to this earth, and he will be in you. And what does he say? When he's in you, greater things than I do, greater works than these will he do because I'm going to the Father. So of course, the things that Jesus is wanting to accomplish, he doesn't want you to accomplish those things in your own strength or in your own power, but through the power of God. Man, I hope today we get a revelation of that power that's in you, this double-stuffed, mega-stuffed, ultra-top-end stuff. That's how much power is in you today, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Check this out. Number two, his power is already at work within you, right now, already, present tense, not later, right now. Acts 1.8 says this, this is Jesus talking again, but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, to the ends of the earth. You will receive that power. If you're a believer in the room, you have received the power of God. You've received the power. Now, is there more power for you to receive? Absolutely, the Holy Spirit. He wants to give you more as we have revelation of the power of the Spirit. There's more of God for your life that's already active and in you. It's there. I mean, we believe, like I said, the gifts are for today, spiritual gifts, all of them, for today, not just certain ones. We don't believe that certain ones cease, that when the final apostles die, we believe all gifts are for today, and they're at work through the body of Christ. And I know the issue is, because this is something we're culturally always finding, well, I'm not far enough. And this is what I saw growing up, that we felt like certain spiritual gifts are for the spiritual elite. And until I reach a certain level in my personhood or in my walk with Christ, then I am limited to what I can and can't do. And we know here, right, we know that we believe that every member is a minister of the gospel. We really, this is not a tagline. This is something we really believe. And we constantly have to like really cast vision for this belief to work out old things in our life. Because we really do believe that all of us have ministry gifts. We don't believe that it's just for certain people.
It's not just for a lead pastor or a lead guy, that everybody has ministry that God is wanting to do through them, right? Praise God that my expectation is that I don't think that when we have our baby in just a few weeks, because, or in a few months, is that Jonathan has to come to the hospital to see us because he's our pastor, right? Or if I was going through a really tough time that only one person, like he better be the person to come to my house and take care of me. And he better be the one that gives me the word of encouragement. Or no, we believe that those gifts are from everyone. That everyone has space. And grace and measure to minister. So I'm so thankful for so many of you that take care of so many people in this room who love for and disciple and care for and pastor and encourage every member of minister. And how is that possible? Through the power of God in your life. And I know the real deal temptation is, well, hey, look, I'm just not ready to minister because I'm not mature enough yet to minister, right? Oh, I'm not that far. I'm not that far in my faith. Or I can't encourage like Tiffany because Tiffany's further along in faith than me. Or I can't exhort or I can't preach or I can't teach or I can't prophesy because I'm not like so-and-so or fill in the blank. We begin to compare ourselves spiritually to other people in faith and say, well, I'm not them. So what is my place to be able to do those things? And that's just not the truth. Or when I'm mature enough, when I'm far enough, when I'm further along in faith, then I'll be able to do those things. And I wrote this down. The spirit doesn't wait for your maturity to be active, only for your obedience to move. As we get more revelation of the power of God, it's not based on how much further along we are in our life with Christ or how far removed we are from our last sin to determine or dictate how much ministry we can or can't do. All God is looking for is obedient people. We look to Jesus, the son who knew the father. And what do we find from Jesus over and over again? Obedience to the father. What does Jesus say? I must be about my father's business. And I think that's a great line for us to see and us to live by. We must be about our father's business. We must obey. And that's all the spirit is looking for. That's all God's looking for. For his power to be on display is not someone who's more mature than someone else, but someone who's obedient, who believes. You know what, God? Like, I believe that you're bigger than I think you are. And I believe that you could use me for your glory. And I believe you've given me this for this person. And I wanna use that. I wanna put these things on display for your glory.
And I really did believe this morning praying that there's ministry not to be just be done in the future, but I believe some of you today came in with some ministry for some people. That you've been praying this week for some specific people and maybe you've bought into the lie of the enemy that says that you're not mature enough. Who are you to encourage? Who are you to prophesy? Who are you to discern the things of God? And you've bought into that lie and you've limited yourself. But I believe there's ministry in the room today that should be released. In your hearts. That's what you should be doing. And I just wanna encourage you in that. If you feel like, hey, I really have been praying this week about some stuff and I just don't know if I'm qualified enough. Maybe you wouldn't say it that way. Maybe you'd say, well, I don't want to overstep or I don't want to insert. Please, please do. Minister to one another. This is how we live out every member of ministry. Because it is not in your own power that you would do any of this stuff. It's all through the power of God. If we get fresh revelation of the power, the infinite, immeasurable power of God, then we can't do anything other than what our Father is asking us to do. How could we? When we realize that our ability to minister is not determined to how much we're plugged into spiritual things, but we realize that the power of God is limitless in our life. Doesn't need a new charging. You don't need a new charging. You don't need more charging. You just need revelation of the power of God that's already in you. And God will put those things on display.
It's right here and right now, which goes to my final point. His power exists so that He alone receives the glory forever. We have to recognize these things because it's very easy. And that's why I really, I said some very specific things when I was encouraging all of you just then to minister. Every member's a minister. And I really do believe that that's been great revelation for our church. But I know for every true thing, there can be a counterfeit thing. For every powerful thing of God, there can be an eye where God's glory would be on display. There is a true temptation for man, to receive glory and for man to want his glory to be on display. Spiritual gifts for ministry. Ministry gifts are for God's glory and not for our own. And if Cam and the team can come back up, I know I threw a curve ball, but I appreciate you in this. The question that we ask all the time, it's one of the core questions psychologists have showed us that we ask as humans. The question being, why am I here? Right? How often do we, we ask that question? Why am I here? And ministry for so many of us who are believers can become the answer to that question. I'm here for this ministry. And that is not the truth. I love what the New City Catechism says. For the chief end of man, the question, why am I here? The New City Catechism says, what is the chief end of man? And it's this, and we have this in our bedroom. This is like a reminder on a daily basis. To glorify, to glorify God and to enjoy him forever. If you want to know why am I here? The church has answered that question. Why are you here? To glorify God and enjoy him forever. That's why we're here. But it's so easy for the culture of the world to try to produce counterfeits in the church. Why are you here? Why are you here today? Why are you part of the church? Of course, at some point, if you ask that question, about the world, why am I here? You might ask yourself, well, why am I here? And my encouragement is, you know, every single one of you who call this place home, God's placed you here. You have a place here. Absolutely have a place here. But if you ask yourself the question, why am I here? It's not for your ministry to be on display. It's for God to receive glory through the ministry he is working out of your life. You're here to know God, to glorify God, and enjoy him forever. We glorify God. Jesus says in the garden, before he goes to the cross, he's lived out his life. He's accomplished everything he was supposed to up until the point of death on a cross. And in the garden, he's praying to God and he says, in John 17, 4, he says, I glorified you. Father, I glorified you. I've accomplished the work. Jesus didn't say, Father, I found my purpose for why I was here. He didn't say that. Guys, some of you, you might be trying to mistake outside things of the world for your place in the church. I'm not asking you to find your purpose here. Your purpose is not tied to your ministry gifts. Your purpose is not tied to your spiritual gifts. Your purpose is to glorify God and to enjoy him always. That is why you're here. But we have to get fresh revelation of who God is. That's why I love the last song we sang. That's why I loved what Callie said right at the end. Jesus, the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, God is worthy. He was worthy. He is worthy. He's always worthy. Always. He is the one to receive glory. Some of us, we have to see God for who he is, how big, how infinite, how limitless to the power of who God is. Because when you do that, your circumstances really do seem really tiny. Some of you might be going through some hard stuff right now. I'm not asking you to like tighten up your shoelaces, to buckle up your belt and to put on a work hat and just go. I'm not asking you to do that. My encouragement is look to God. See more of his limitless, endless power. If you don't think God is big enough or able or capable to walk you through where you are right now in life, you have a limited view of God's power because God's power is endless. It's limitless. If you don't think God can deliver you from temptation, you have a limited view of God's power. If you don't think God can transform your heart or help you forgive someone or walk through, a hard situation, then you have a limited view of the God that you're singing about. The God that you gather with other people to declare how worthy he is. You've got a limited view of him. And the encouragement today is God, expand my view. Help me to see how limitless you are. Some of us have put a limit on how powerful we think God to be. The encouragement that Paul says is, you don't know the ends of God's power. You think in a moment that God is always on display. And every new instance that God works in your life is a new invitation for you to say, oh my gosh, you're more powerful than I thought you were. And as we get that sort of revelation, we see his power at work. How is God's power at work? How does God's glory be on display? Well, we see it in the scripture. What does he say? I mean, just go here. I mean, move all these, move all these batteries and chargers. To him be glory. Where? How? How does he get glory? How is his glory on display? Two ways. And I love highlight. Put us one circle, two circle here. So you see, how is God's glory on display? In the church and in Christ Jesus. In the church and in Christ Jesus. The cross, the gospel of Jesus. Those who are far off, who are dead in their trespasses, who are made alive and transformed. To saints, to sons of God. Those who are enemies of God, who are now the ones that Jesus calls friends. He invites them to the family. That's God's glory on display because there's no way anyone else could ever fathom that being the truth. Because who else is going to take an enemy and call them a friend? Who's going to take someone that's dead and breathe life into them? No one but God. Limitless. That's why the power of the cross, it's never not good news. It's always good news. There's always power in the cross. There's always hope in the cross. Jesus, full display of God's glory. And then what's crazy is as Jesus works in our lives, that there could even be possible a second way for God's glory to be on display. The church, the body of Christ. You guys who call yourself believers, God's glory is on display through you. Here's where we mess it up. Here's how we mess it up. We make it about us. We think, God, how can I minister more? Or what can I do? Or all this stuff. But then we're tempted to tie that glory to our own self. And we feel good about ourselves when we get a prophetic word right, or someone cries when we give them a word of encouragement, or we sing the right notes and people raise their hands and we have these moments and we feel good, but we tie it to ourselves and we miss God. And I hope you can see this, okay? I just want you to see this. Ellie June, look through that window. What do you see out of the window? Just tell me, what do you see? Trees, grass, see a house. Dale, what do you see out there? A car, you see a lot of things when we look out that window, right? Here, I hope you see this. I hope this is so simple. What do you see? What do you see? Yourself, Dale, what do you see? Yourself, Russ, just make sure this side. What do you see? Yourself, yourself. Chandler's a vampire, so he sees nothing. See, what do you see? Yourself. Please, I hope this makes sense. Because these are two pieces of glass. A mirror and a window, same glass, but does two different things. A mirror is all about ourself. The way the light is captured, all we can reflect on is ourself. A panel of glass over there, it lets the light shine through the glass. And what do we see? What's on the other side of the glass? And that is what ministry and God's glory is about. So many of us live hoping that the light of God would get in us so that it could be about us. But what is truly supposed to happen is we're supposed to light the glory of God, just like the light, light us and reflect through us to the other side. Why? So people can see what's on the other side. Man, please stop robbing God of his glory.
Sometimes, times it can be out of fear oh I don't want to mess it up I don't want it what if it's wrong that's about you you're letting the light come in you and you're keeping it to yourself or man or man it's on the other end man I hope this is for me I hope I got a word of encouragement for somebody I hope I can feel a certain type of way again give me as much of your light as possible so I can just have it for myself and that is the wrong way to live that is not what God's glory is about the only way God's glory can be on display is if we let the light go straight through us to the other side so people can see what what can they see on the other side if we're receiving God's glory and it goes through us we are no longer a reflection what do they say they see the glory of God that is what the power of God is supposed to do the power of God as you receive more of it as you get more revelation and more knowledge and your faith is stirred and strengthened to more of the power of God it becomes less and less and less about you so that people can see the fullness of God and on display on the other side that's what I hope that's my prayer is for all of us God would you please make us less like mirrors and more like windows please so that your glory would be on display so that we don't take credit for your glory so we don't hold on to your glory but we share your glory I love this quote from John Stott I'm going to read it and I'll read a scripture and we're going to call it a day John Stott says this the power comes from him so the glory must go to him real deal temptation would be that some of you get stirred maybe afterwards you come up to me trace that was a good message spoke to my heart I'm so glad all this stuff it's not that that God would be on display so that he would receive more glory the glory's got to go to God if you want to be effective in ministry and faithful in ministry the glory always has to go to God because it was not your power it's God's power God gives you the power for ministry and I believe all of us are stirred and active for ministry every single one of us so God must receive the glory for the ministry because then we're not tired we're not tired it's not dependent on our power it's all the power that comes from God I love this quote from John Stott I love this quote from John Stott I love this quote from Psalms 145 11 through 13 says this they shall speak of the glory of your kingdom and tell of your power to make known to the children of man your mighty deeds and the glorious splendor of your kingdom your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and your dominion endures throughout all generations what does Paul say at the end of verse 21 to him be glory in church in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout what all generations forever and ever amen this is all about God's glory to the generations forever and ever not just right now not just 10 years ago not a hundred years ago not just 50 years from now forever and ever the glory of God is about him for all generations and God is inviting you he's inviting me to display his glory right now in the present for generations of the future if we can let's all stand together because I really do believe that a good way to end this service is just to declare again the greatness of God the power of God and maybe now at the end of service you have more revelation of God's infinite power maybe you came in this morning thinking that there was a limit to God's power but even just through today you're you're realizing actually God there's actually more of your power you're realizing that there's actually more of your power and guess what because of that he deserves glory he deserves honor he deserves worship so I love for us one more time together to declare the worthiness of God we're going to just sing through this bridge and chorus one time again we're just once we're not going to make it a long moment I just think it'll be practically a good way for us to declare the goodness of God the power of God one time again we're going to just sing through this bridge and chorus one time again one more time together with fresh eyes with fresh knowledge of his limitless endless abundantly more than you could think or imagine power can we do that can we sing it one more time together if you're some straight will be you God, that you recognize it. Father, you are worthy forever and ever. God, help us to see. Lord, I just pray that over the room right now for a revelation. Of your endless, limitless power. God, for anyone in the room who is trying to acquire your power through their own works. Or their own strength. Father, I pray right now for greater revelation. Of the power of God in them. That faith would rise in the room. For ministry. For your glory. God, I pray that revelation of power. Would be all that's needed. To encourage a brother and sister. To pray for a family member. To speak a word of knowledge. To pray in the spirit. To exhort. To teach. To preach. To lead. Not in our own abilities. But through the power of God. So that you, Father, would be on display. Lord, help us to display you. And you alone. God, we honor you. We love you. We praise you. God, I pray for strength in the room. I pray for power in the room that comes from you. Man, what a great day. Hey, really quickly. We have a few announcements.
They'll be on the screens, I hope, in just a second. But a few things coming up. We got Art for All. August the 1st. So that's coming up this Saturday. This Saturday. If you haven't signed up, please sign up for that. If you haven't told your friends, tell your friends. This is just an art VBS, a creative VBS that our church is putting on. So we want kids and families to come together this coming up Saturday for the Art for All. Okay? And then our youth kids are at camp right now. So I'm asking you all to pray for them as they're there. That God would speak. That God would speak to them in a real way. And God would call the things of God out in their lives while they're there. And we pray for safe travels home for them as well. If you're leading a small group, as soon as this is over and you get your kiddos, we're going to have a quick, it's going to be a quick meeting in Move Kids just to encourage you guys about our small group semester and all that good stuff, which means that for those of you who are not leading small groups, small groups who are active, we're going to have a quick meeting in Move Kids just to encourage you guys about our small group semester before service. Don't check out on me. This is important. We really do believe that small groups are beneficial. We believe a few things. We believe that Sunday services are beneficial to you and they're not missable. We believe that. Unapologetically, we believe that. They're not missable. Now you might miss and there's no condemnation, but you should be here because God meets with us all the time. And if you leave, the same way you came in here, you honestly didn't get revelation of God's power today. Second, beyond that is this. We believe that Christian fellowship matters and we want you to be with other Christians throughout the week. So find a small group and be a part of it. Get in the app and sign up for a group. Look, I know we all, it's 2026. We're all busy. If the reason is I trace I'm busy. Look, we're all busy. I get it. But if we're busy all the time, you're actually not busy. You're not. If every day and every season and every week and every month and every year of your life is busy, you're not busy. You're not. That's just life. And I want you to hear that pastorally with love. Like find some time, get in a group and be in Christian fellowship with other believers. Now we've got tons of different groups. We've got Christianity 101 and Discipleship 201. That's happening. Those are great groups. If you're new to me, move and you've not been through 101 and 201. Hey, pick that one. The moons are leading it. It actually already started, but still pick that group. Week one is this week. You can get in past that. We always have discipleship groups or growth groups. And we have a few growth groups. If you're feeling, if your prayer is God, like in this season of life, I need to grow in a certain area, look in there and find one of those groups and grow. If some of you are like, hey, trace, look, I'm hearing you and I would love to participate. I don't know. If I have the bandwidth to grow to that degree right now, cool. Christian fellowship would be where you need to be. And we have interest-based groups. Look, I'm in one that's just a game group. Blaze, I haven't signed up yet, but I promise you I'm signing up. I'm taking my own advice after this and signing up. But there's interest-based groups. Christian fellowship. Be in Christian fellowship with one another. Sign up for a group. Be a part of that. Adam's going to send me the Excel sheet at the end of, before groups start. So I'm going to know. So who's inspired by this and who some of you are like, trace, just shut up because I'm trying to get the lunch. Okay. But sign up for a group. Be a part. Like, let, let this be a time. Like take the step. If you've been in some busy seasons, cool. But don't let busyness be the excuse this time. Sign up for a group and commit to the best of your ability. If you miss a group or two, okay. But don't make it missable. But if it happens, it happens. Okay. All right. I just felt a pastoral urge, nudge to do that today. So I want to see this small group semester be a strong small group semester. Okay. And then finally, one final thing. Starting in September, every Wednesday morning at 5.30 a.m. We're opening up this place for a time of prayer for one hour. 5.30 to 6.30 a.m. If you want to come pray, come pray with us. Again, this is not a badge of honor. It's not a, we put it at that time because we're hoping you could get done before you had to get to work or get your kids to school. Or whatever that looks like. 5.30 to 6.30, once a week. Come once a week or come once a month. It doesn't matter. Just come pray. Or pray from home during that time as well. But pray. We're committing to that on a weekly basis. Starting in September. All right. Love you guys so much. Let's say our sending liturgy and let's get out of here. All right. So let's say this together.
