i'm gonna i'm gonna like yeah also for i said this don't make fun of me for not speaking good also um so this guy doing color wards he was like running over a bridge and then he like fell off he was okay but it was just crazy um when bennett's friends kept ganging up on me i know you had to slot bennett in there somewhere all right kayla okay kayla do you have do you have a moment where you're like i cannot believe this is actually happening hey may yeah did you have a moment where you're like i cannot believe this exactly when i found out that michael black was going to the emergency room to get stapled yeah so for those of you who don't know michael black is the uh youth pastor for destiny life church the the church that hosts the youth camp so there's three different churches to go us destiny life and uh thrive from who's also from a different part of oklahoma and there's about 150 to 160 kids attending and about 50 adults um and michael black is over the entire thing uh he's he organizes the entire thing he's over the entire camp and during a very you know just normal day game of disc golf noah schroeder hit michael in the back of the head with a disc golf disc and sent michael to the emergency room to get five actual staples in the back of his head uh but then he came back and was dancing in the middle of the night so ran was in the stables in his head all right did you uh i would say yes the michael black was surprised but mine was definitely coming back to the bunks after the prayer meeting uh the first night and there being a big huddle outside with all the camp counselors and finding out that declan had rage bated a camp counselor and they're coming and trying to find him in the room yeah that's not really what happened. Declan was rage baiting someone else and this guy had a few screws loose, I think. Alright, Kayla, skip the superlatives and you can go to the next one. Hold on. I got to catch up. Absolutely not. Who is most likely to accidentally start a campfire? Declan. Declan. Declan. Declan. No, like what I'm doing?

Lil' Declan. Yo, Declan's already started a fire before his hand. No. I don't know. Declan has the arson experience. He does. Let's see. I'm going to skip down just a little bit. Angelie's ready for the spiritual questions. They're warmed up. Okay, we're almost there. Sounded like you were. We'll jump down to this one, Kayla. What was one message or scripture that really stuck out to you? One message or scripture that really stuck out to you during camp?

Probably like how this is one message that I kind of saw from all of the sermons over the trip and it was really that all good things come from God. We can't do anything good and it comes from God. The one where Elijah kills like 800 people or something like that? Yes. That was good. Got you interested in the Old Testament for sure. What's it called? When Michael's wife came to speak? That was about Marin. What was it about? Yeah, what he said. It was about Abraham. It was really good.

What is Exodus 14-14? I don't really have something. I definitely went into youth camp feeling like I was going to learn. Everything that I already knew and I went out. I feel like I'm a whole new person. That's all I've got to say. Okay. Mostly all of them. All the messages stuck to you? Okay. Quarries. Quarries. You remember what it was about? I liked it. I remember. I don't remember what it was about, but I remember that it stuck out to me when I remembered. Okay. Abraham almost killed his son and then God didn't make him, but he was still faithful. Yeah. My dad's message about the three A's allowed alone and something else. Yeah. Fox talked to us with the walks with Fox in the morning. That was really good.

Next one. Hold on. Okay. Did God teach you anything about yourself this week? I know he did for the girls group. Did God teach you? You want me to start down there with the guys? Because you are kind of getting double way me here. Okay.

Did God teach you anything about yourself this week, Noah? I'm very selfish. That's good. I lost my train of thought. Come back to me later. I lost my train of thought. I'll probably say what Noah said, that I'm really selfish and I don't appreciate what I have. I need to have more obedience. You need to have more obedience. Well, jokingly, a bit. And spiritually, probably that I feel like I come like sometimes come like to like get too hard with myself and feel like I'm not good enough and like I'm not pretty enough and all that. And during like small groups, we definitely address that. And I kind of went out thinking I'm pretty. I kind of feel like I'm a lot like I feel a lot more confident in myself going out of youth camp than I did doing it. And yeah, that's it. That's good. That like so I thought that I like I wasn't good enough for like anybody. And now that like people were like telling me that it was now I feel like I am good enough for people. I'm not going to go too deep or else I start crying like I did at every single small group that we had.

But like um but like basically I didn't know like who I really was because I just like acted like who I was like with. But like you helped me like figure out who I am. And yeah. Okay. So I definitely like thought I was alone and like alone. I'm like my hard times. And then like especially on the last night, like during worship like a couple people from the church came and prayed over me and like told me it was okay. And it was just really sweet. And it like made me feel better about myself for that one night. But I'm still working on it. Good. Knowing my true self and showing everybody my true self. King, do you have an answer? Nobody cares about who you are. Selfishness, I guess. Yeah. There we go. Good. That's good answers. All right. Next question. This one's going to be a little bit hard one. May have to think for a minute. Okay. But I think y'all got it.

So what's one thing you're going to do differently because of what God did in your life during camp? So what's one thing you're going to do differently now because of what God did in your life during camp? I can come back to you. Go ahead. Start appreciating what I have more. Yeah. So start appreciating what you have more. So what kind of led to that you feel like? I don't know which day it was or who said it, but they were talking about like something about, I don't know. I don't even know if someone said it. It just spoke to me about like, I don't appreciate what I have. Yeah. Okay. Spending more time in His presence. How are you going to do that? Read my Bible more and like times whenever I'm just like doing scrolling on my phone, like go listen to worship music or read. Good. We'll have two things. One of the things that I've done differently is usually when like, when my parents say it's time for bed, they'll wait like 30 minutes or 45 minutes. And usually I would spend that I'm writing y'all out. Usually I'd spend that like on my phone. But past two nights I've not been a little I've not been that persistent with it, but I have get that back up. Okay. Thank you. But like I'm learning how to make like a knitted bracelet. So I've been turning on worship music and making knitted bracelets. And then also, as Tristan said, I want to, well, I've already said that, but also have realized that I haven't been going in the mirror and like looking down on myself. Like usually I would, I have like so many lip glosses. It's not even funny or chapsticks, but usually before youth camp I would, or like before youth I would like put some eyelash gel and eyebrow gel and lip gloss and lipstick and lip tint. And all the little different things that I had on. But today I'm literally not wearing any and I just, it literally doesn't feel any different. I feel the same. That's good. Who else? So like somebody like, I don't know who it was, but somebody said like, I need to stop worrying about people's like, stop or like, not stop worrying about it, but like worry about it, worry about people's like time with God less and spend more time with God with like myself. Yeah, that's good. It's easy to point out out other people, but it's hard to see ourselves sometimes. That's good. Can you repeat the question? All right. So what's one thing you're going to do differently because of what God did during camp week? One thing that I have done is like viewing myself differently because like a lot, like a lot of people have said like, they think that like they're not good enough. And I kind of think that too. But like when I look in the mirror, I like say like all the positives about myself.

That's good. I haven't been successful yet, but I'm going to try and stop like isolating myself and like start talking to other people more. Like when the problem first comes, instead of like letting myself go down the rabbit hole and then trying to get help. If I do get help at all. Really good. Helping people by sharing the gospel because all the girls interested in help me a lot. I use camp. That's good. Absolutely. Guys, y'all got one? Usually when I have questions about like spiritual and biblical stuff, I usually ask like, like my parents are like leaders at like the church, but I realize I probably should go. I should probably go to the Bible a little bit more. I'm not saying like if you ask questions to like your parents or leaders that's bad, I'm just saying like going to the Bible could help too. Yeah, absolutely. You know, I mean, I've had to learn that throughout my years as well. It's sometimes you want to go get the answers from other people and it's definitely good to have those spiritual leaders in your life, but you know, God and through His Holy Spirit can reveal things through you to you during that time when you're reading the Bible. So that's very good. Kingston, you got anything? Wait, what was the question? What's one thing you're going to do differently because of what God did during camp week? Obey authority, I guess. Okay, good. Yeah, absolutely. The next one right under that, Kelly. Okay, I have another one I want to bounce back up to in a minute. Oh, then go ahead and do that then. Okay.

Okay, so I kind of sat back and watched this with our guys and our girls, but more intimately with our girls this past week as I was with them the most. How did your friendships change throughout the week? With my friends pouring their love. Closer. With my friends and them pouring out to me and me doing the same thing back. Yeah. Obviously, like I said before, like on the last night, like Amber praying over me and then Evelyn praying over me and Kendall and then even during small group, even though Riley wasn't there on that last night, like I still got to like talk to Riley during small group and like grow closer relationships with them. And it was just really nice. So now I feel like closer to them and even Amber and Kendall. I felt like me and Keegan like weren't that close like before we went to camp. And then once I got to like know her and like relate to her in like different like situations, I felt like we've been like we've known each other for like forever. It's kind of what Keegan said, like everybody like, like praying over me and that makes and me praying over them is like it made us like grow closer. I feel like I would rather be closer. I don't like speaking. Okay, but I feel like I went in these camp having close friends and then friends and now I feel like I'm going out literally closer friends than I could ever imagine.

And then back to Keegan. I'm sorry. I feel like I felt like I knew her like perfectly, but I did not see a whole nother side because I knew part of the story, but I definitely felt like can shut that book, I guess with her because I feel like we got closer at youth camp and I feel like there's things that I didn't know about her that I learned things that I partially knew I learned more and things that I thought I knew I learned more but I'm sorry for calling you out. Okay, I'm done. Me and Josh had a moment where we were both kind of pouring into each other and I definitely feel like we came out of camp with a deeper relationship. I still know that Noah and Kingston just like making fun of me and I despise them both, but okay. What did you say? I'm sorry. That they too. They still hate me and like making fun of me on youth camp. I despise them too. But when when random guys from Arkansas bus in the cabin trying to find you, who sticks up for you? I fought me. Noah would have somehow got a phone and recorded it. He would have grabbed Gabe's camera. He stuck up for you, dude. And the next morning, the next morning, I had just learned the story, me and Courtney from Adam and Matt and like y'all came up a few moments later and you're walking up to the pavilion and literally like five feet behind you is just Noah. Like Noah was not about to let you go anywhere by yourself. He was he was he was taking care of me.

I can concur. The entire trip was just me and Beckham, me and Noah making fun of Beckham, calling him like a fat loser chud, Mountain Dew drinking hillbilly. But what did but what did you say a second ago? Why do y'all make fun of him? Because we hate him. We hate him. My heart is made of ice. I said because we love him, but I didn't mean that. He said he loves you. All right. Hold on. Hold on. Noah's got an answer. Okay.

On the trip, I didn't really know game that well, but I got to know. I got to know game. He was my kingpin, Decker's little minion. So, yeah. He would just follow us around and take pictures. And Gaga ball. And Gaga ball. Right. So maybe y'all should share that with him. Last two questions. All right. Last two questions. All right.

I want everybody to listen up on this one because this one is for everybody out here. All right. How can everyone here pray for you? As you continue what the Lord started at camp? Yeah. Let me think. Somebody want to volunteer to go? How can everyone here be praying for you? Consistency. Be praying for consistency. Yeah. That's good. Probably for like being like have more time with God and probably, yeah. Just spending more time with him. That's good. Just to seek God more. How can everyone here be praying for you to continue what God was doing at camp? I don't know. Obeying authority. Y'all can do that one. I don't want y'all to pray, but I don't know. I feel like definitely back to like the self-appearance thing with like me thinking like I'm not good enough and like I'm not, you know. Yeah. But yeah, you're fine. Absolutely. We're praying for you, Riley. It doesn't have to be anything too personal. Just something that we can be praying over. It's like the same thing as Kendall. All right. Same as Kendall. I have no heavenly idea.

There's nothing we can be praying for. Okay. For like comfort and like being bold and like talking to people. That's good. Help me share the right stuff to the right people. Good. Absolutely. All right. Kayla, you want to finish this off with the last one? The very last question? Yeah. Okay. How would you encourage someone who is on the fence about going to camp next year? You have a lot of good memories and you see God more in your life. It's really fun. And even if you don't usually cry, prepare to cry. Our group cried every night. And me and Courtney didn't even leave the group. Basically, if you're on the fence about going, I literally, I was on the fence about going too.

But once I went, I literally never want to stop going. Even if I'm a leader, I always want to go even until I'm dead, basically. Okay. I love it that much, bro. Like, kind of like King said, be prepared. Be prepared to cry and like be prepared to make new friends and stuff. Okay. I got a little mini speech for you. So I feel like a lot of people have like, okay, I'm not calling anybody out in particular. I don't know anybody. I even struggle with this sometimes. I feel like a lot of people are like, I don't want to go. It's going to be hot and sweaty and we're just going to be... It's just going to be that. Let me finish. It's just going to be preaching the whole time. But preaching the whole time and I feel like, well, I just don't want to be there. For how long were we there? It don't matter. I don't want to be there for a week and just hear somebody talk. But it's so much more than that. There's like, I understand like there's pools and lakes and I lost a crock in the lake. We're not going to talk about that. Anyways, in the pond lake thing. Same thing. Anyways, there's a lot more to it than just preaching about the same time.

I feel, like I said, I feel like I went in being an expert about everything and I went out like a whole new person. So, a lot of people struggle with like things that we said like self-appearance, friendships, relationships, but camp really will like does and will help with that. And if you're struggling with that, I really suggest you try to go next year. We're going next year? Next year. Okay. Be like Nike and just do it. Oh my gosh. Who's Nike? Nike's a shoe brand. And their slogan is just do it. There's plenty of Nikes at the bottom of the lake.

What would you say Declan, what would you say to someone who's on the fence about going next year? I'd say like it's fun. Like you might not think it's going to be fun. It's just going to be like worship and someone preach all the time. Like we like, we like it used to be like, I don't know. I think last year the worships felt like two hours, but they were not even like it wasn't two, five hours. Like Noah, Noah was exaggerating it. I'm always in the wrong zone. Yes. That's racist. I mean, I would say go. Like the services, unless because like what everybody else said, like you think if you think the services are real long, I mean, they're not that long. They're a little bit longer than the ones we have here, but it's not. And plus, you have like funny stories to tell. Like me and Noah still joke about a random dude who tried to kill Declan that one time. Yeah. And then and then it's also just fun to hang out with all your friends at like the stinky lake and like all that stuff the nasty lake.

Yeah, but I just shut up. Just go. I guess just do it. Could be in a pansy and just go like William. Yeah, it's fun. There's a lot of free time. You can hang out with friends from from Oklahoma meet new people friends from your your church and swim. There's a lot of stuff you can do. So yeah, I think it's fun. I get assaulted. Okay. Okay. Evelyn, you have something else. Hold on. Just make your move. Just make your move. Make your move. There you go. All right. On that note, everybody give it up for these kids and these students that shared with us tonight. Thanks a lot of bravery to get up here and share and speak. Thank y'all so much. It was a really good time. I know, you know, for me, you know, I grew in relationship with both leaders and with students for sure throughout the weekend. I'm sure Kayla will say the same both from from move and from Oklahoma. So it was a great great week, but I'm going to pray over us and then we'll get these chairs up and y'all can hang out till time to go. So Holy Father, we just thank you for the deposits that you made this week at camp, but that you're you're making and that are being made, you know, just throughout our youth group as a whole father. We know that that you're planting seeds that that we will see the fruit from next week, but also many many many years from now father. We thank you that you're you're continuing to grow and mature us spiritually and grow us and being sensitive and listening to the Holy Spirit moving in our lives father. Father, I thank you for each and every student. That's a part of what we're doing here. We thank you that that they they're growing and encouraging each other. We thank you for the leaders that that are they're leading and guiding them and and spend their time. But but father, we definitely thank you for what we're seeing as far as students ministering and encouraging each other on a weekly basis father. There's something special about seeing students pray over one another minister to each other and and we know that we believe that every member of the church is a minister and that there's no junior Holy Spirit and that you're looking to work in and through each and every student here and and and we just love to see that continue to grow within our our group here. We thank you and and we love you and it's in your holy name we pray. Amen.
