And HezekiahH3169 sentH7971 to all IsraelH3478 and JudahH3063, and wroteH3789 lettersH107 also to EphraimH669 and ManassehH4519, that they should comeH935 to the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068 at JerusalemH3389, to keepH6213 the passoverH6453 unto JehovahH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478.
For the kingH4428 had taken counselH3289, and his princesH8269, and all the assemblyH6951 in JerusalemH3389, to keepH6213 the passoverH6453 in the secondH8145 monthH2320.
For they couldH3201 not keepH6213 it at that timeH6256, because the priestsH3548 had not sanctifiedH6942 themselves in sufficientH4078 number, neither had the peopleH5971 gathered themselves togetherH622 to JerusalemH3389.
And the thingH1697 was rightH3474 in the eyes of the kingH4428 and of all the assemblyH6951.
So they establishedH5975 a decreeH1697 to make proclamationH5674 throughout all IsraelH3478, from Beer-shebaH884 even to DanH1835, that they should comeH935 to keepH6213 the passoverH6453 unto JehovahH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, at JerusalemH3389: for they had not keptH6213 it in great numbersH7230 in such sort as it is writtenH3789.
So the postsH7323 wentH3212 with the lettersH107 fromH3027 the kingH4428 and his princesH8269 throughout all IsraelH3478 and JudahH3063, and according to the commandmentH4687 of the kingH4428, sayingH559, Ye childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, turn againH7725 unto JehovahH3068, the GodH430 of AbrahamH85, IsaacH3327, and IsraelH3478, that he may returnH7725 to the remnantH7604 that are escapedH6413 of you out of the handH3709 of the kingsH4428 of AssyriaH804.
And be not ye like your fathersH1, and like your brethrenH251, who trespassedH4603 against JehovahH3068, the GodH430 of their fathersH1, so that he gave them upH5414 to desolationH8047, as ye seeH7200.
Now be ye not stiffneckedH7185, as your fathersH1 were; but yieldH5414 yourselvesH3027 unto JehovahH3068, and enterH935 into his sanctuaryH4720, which he hath sanctifiedH6942 for everH5769, and serveH5647 JehovahH3068 your GodH430, that his fierceH2740 angerH639 may turn awayH7725 from you.
For if ye turn againH7725 unto JehovahH3068, your brethrenH251 and your childrenH1121 shall find compassionH7356 beforeH6440 them that led them captiveH7617, and shall come againH7725 into this landH776: for JehovahH3068 your GodH430 is graciousH2587 and mercifulH7349, and will not turn awayH5493 his faceH6440 from you, if ye returnH7725 unto him.
So the postsH7323 passedH5674 from cityH5892 to cityH5892 through the countryH776 of EphraimH669 and ManassehH4519, even unto ZebulunH2074: but they laughed them to scornH7832, and mockedH3932 them.
Nevertheless certainH582 men of AsherH836 and ManassehH4519 and of ZebulunH2074 humbledH3665 themselves, and cameH935 to JerusalemH3389.
Also upon JudahH3063 came the handH3027 of GodH430 to giveH5414 them oneH259 heartH3820, to doH6213 the commandmentH4687 of the kingH4428 and of the princesH8269 by the wordH1697 of JehovahH3068.
And there assembledH622 at JerusalemH3389 muchH7227 peopleH5971 to keepH6213 the feastH2282 of unleavened breadH4682 in the secondH8145 monthH2320, a veryH3966 greatH7230 assemblyH6951.
And they aroseH6965 and took awayH5493 the altarsH4196 that were in JerusalemH3389, and all the altars for incenseH6999 took they awayH5493, and castH7993 them into the brookH5158 KidronH6939.
Then they killedH7819 the passoverH6453 on the fourteenthH702 day of the secondH8145 monthH2320: and the priestsH3548 and the LevitesH3881 were ashamedH3637, and sanctifiedH6942 themselves, and broughtH935 burnt-offeringsH5930 into the houseH1004 of JehovahH3068.
And they stoodH5975 in their placeH5977 after their orderH4941, according to the lawH8451 of MosesH4872 the manH376 of GodH430: the priestsH3548 sprinkledH2236 the bloodH1818 which they received of the handH3027 of the LevitesH3881.
For there were manyH7227 in the assemblyH6951 that had not sanctifiedH6942 themselves: therefore the LevitesH3881 had the charge of killingH7821 the passoversH6453 for every one that was not cleanH2889, to sanctifyH6942 them unto JehovahH3068.
For a multitudeH4768 of the peopleH5971, even manyH7227 of EphraimH669 and ManassehH4519, IssacharH3485 and ZebulunH2074, had notH3808 cleansedH2891 themselves, yet did they eatH398 the passoverH6453 otherwise than it is writtenH3789. For HezekiahH3169 had prayedH6419 for them, sayingH559, The goodH2896 JehovahH3068 pardonH3722 every one
that settethH3559 his heartH3824 to seekH1875 GodH430, JehovahH3068, the GodH430 of his fathersH1, though he be not cleansed according to the purificationH2893 of the sanctuaryH6944.
And JehovahH3068 hearkenedH8085 to HezekiahH3169, and healedH7495 the peopleH5971.
And the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 that were presentH4672 at JerusalemH3389 keptH6213 the feastH2282 of unleavened breadH4682 sevenH7651 daysH3117 with greatH1419 gladnessH8057; and the LevitesH3881 and the priestsH3548 praisedH1984 JehovahH3068 dayH3117 by dayH3117, singing with loudH5797 instrumentsH3627 unto JehovahH3068.
And HezekiahH3169 spakeH1696 comfortablyH3820 unto all the LevitesH3881 that had goodH2896 understandingH7922 in the serviceH7919 of JehovahH3068. So they did eatH398 throughout the feastH4150 for the sevenH7651 daysH3117, offeringH2076 sacrificesH8002 of peace-offeringsH2077, and making confessionH3034 to JehovahH3068, the GodH430 of their fathersH1.
And the whole assemblyH6951 took counselH3289 to keepH6213 otherH312 sevenH7651 daysH3117; and they keptH6213 other sevenH7651 daysH3117 with gladnessH8057.
For HezekiahH2396 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 did giveH7311 to the assemblyH6951 for offerings a thousandH505 bullocksH6499 and sevenH7651 thousandH505 sheepH6629; and the princesH8269 gaveH7311 to the assemblyH6951 a thousandH505 bullocksH6499 and tenH6235 thousandH505 sheepH6629: and a great numberH7230 of priestsH3548 sanctifiedH6942 themselves.
And all the assemblyH6951 of JudahH3063, with the priestsH3548 and the LevitesH3881, and all the assemblyH6951 that came outH935 of IsraelH3478, and the sojournersH1616 that came outH935 of the landH776 of IsraelH3478, and that dweltH3427 in JudahH3063, rejoicedH8055.
So there was greatH1419 joyH8057 in JerusalemH3389; for since the timeH3117 of SolomonH8010 the sonH1121 of DavidH1732 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 there was not the like in JerusalemH3389.
Then the priestsH3548 the LevitesH3881 aroseH6965 and blessedH1288 the peopleH5971: and their voiceH6963 was heardH8085, and their prayerH8605 cameH935 up to his holyH6944 habitationH4583, even unto heavenH8064.
