In the fifthH2568 day of the monthH2320, which was the fifthH2549 yearH8141 of kingH4428 Jehoiachin'sH3112 captivityH1546,
the wordH1697 of JehovahH3068 came expressly unto EzekielH3168 the priestH3548, the sonH1121 of BuziH941, in the landH776 of the ChaldeansH3778 by the riverH5104 ChebarH3529; and the handH3027 of JehovahH3068 was there upon him.
And I lookedH7200, and, behold, a stormy windH7307 cameH935 out of the northH6828, a greatH1419 cloudH6051, with a fireH784 infoldingH3947 itself, and a brightnessH5051 round aboutH5439 it, and out of the midstH8432 thereof as it were glowingH5869 metalH2830, out of the midstH8432 of the fireH784.
And out of the midstH8432 thereof came the likenessH1823 of fourH702 living creaturesH2416. And this was their appearanceH4758: theyH2007 had the likenessH1823 of a manH120.
And every oneH259 had fourH702 facesH6440, and every oneH259 of them had fourH702 wingsH3671.
And their feetH7272 were straightH3477 feetH7272; and the soleH3709 of their feetH7272 was like the soleH3709 of a calf'sH5695 footH7272; and they sparkledH5340 likeH5869 burnishedH7044 brassH5178.
And they had the handsH3027 of a manH120 under their wingsH3671 on their fourH702 sidesH7253; and they fourH702 had their facesH6440 and their wingsH3671 thus:
their wingsH3671 were joinedH2266 oneH802 to anotherH269; they turnedH5437 not when they wentH3212; they wentH3212 every oneH376 straightH5676 forwardH6440.
As for the likenessH1823 of their facesH6440, they had the faceH6440 of a manH120; and they fourH702 had the faceH6440 of a lionH738 on the right sideH3225; and they fourH702 had the faceH6440 of an oxH7794 on the left sideH8040; they fourH702 had also the faceH6440 of an eagleH5404.
And their facesH6440 and their wingsH3671 were separateH6504 aboveH4605; twoH8147 wings of every oneH376 were joinedH2266 oneH376 to anotherH376, and twoH8147 coveredH3680 their bodiesH1472.
And they wentH3212 every oneH376 straightH5676 forwardH6440: whither the spiritH7307 was to goH3212, they wentH3212; they turnedH5437 not when they wentH3212.
As for the likenessH1823 of the living creaturesH2416, their appearanceH4758 was like burningH1197 coalsH1513 of fireH784, like the appearanceH4758 of torchesH3940: the fire went up and downH1980 among the living creaturesH2416; and the fireH784 was brightH5051, and out of the fireH784 went forthH3318 lightningH1300.
And the living creaturesH2416 ranH7519 and returnedH7725 as the appearanceH4758 of a flash of lightningH965.
Now as I beheldH7200 the living creaturesH2416, behold, oneH259 wheelH212 upon the earthH776 besideH681 the living creaturesH2416, for each of the fourH702 facesH6440 thereof.
The appearanceH4758 of the wheelsH212 and their workH4639 was likeH5869 unto a berylH8658: and they fourH702 had oneH259 likenessH1823; and their appearanceH4758 and their workH4639 was as it were a wheelH212 withinH8432 a wheelH212.
When they wentH3212, they wentH3212 in their fourH702 directionsH7253: they turnedH5437 not when they wentH3212.
As for their rimsH1354, they were highH1363 and dreadfulH3374; and they fourH702 had their rimsH1354 fullH4392 of eyesH5869 round aboutH5439.
And when the living creaturesH2416 wentH3212, the wheelsH212 wentH3212 beside themH681; and when the living creaturesH2416 were lifted upH5375 from the earthH776, the wheelsH212 were lifted upH5375.
Whithersoever the spiritH7307 was to goH3212, they wentH3212; thither was the spiritH7307 to goH3212: and the wheelsH212 were lifted upH5375 besideH5980 them; for the spiritH7307 of the living creatureH2416 was in the wheelsH212.
When those wentH3212, these wentH3212; and when those stoodH5975, these stoodH5975; and when those were lifted upH5375 from the earthH776, the wheelsH212 were lifted upH5375 besideH5980 them: for the spiritH7307 of the living creatureH2416 was in the wheelsH212.
And over the headH7218 of the living creatureH2416 there was the likenessH1823 of a firmamentH7549, likeH5869 the terribleH3372 crystalH7140 to look upon, stretched forthH5186 over their headsH7218 aboveH4605.
And under the firmamentH7549 were their wingsH3671 straightH3477, the oneH802 toward the otherH269: every oneH376 had twoH8147 which coveredH3680 on this sideH2007, and every oneH376 had twoH8147 which coveredH3680 on that sideH2007, their bodiesH1472.
And when they wentH3212, I heardH8085 the noiseH6963 of their wingsH3671 like the noiseH6963 of greatH7227 watersH4325, like the voiceH6963 of the AlmightyH7706, a noiseH6963 of tumultH1999 like the noiseH6963 of a hostH4264: when they stoodH5975, they let downH7503 their wingsH3671.
And there was a voiceH6963 above the firmamentH7549 that was over their headsH7218: when they stoodH5975, they let downH7503 their wingsH3671.
And aboveH4605 the firmamentH7549 that was over their headsH7218 was the likenessH1823 of a throneH3678, as the appearanceH4758 of a sapphireH5601 stoneH68; and upon the likenessH1823 of the throneH3678 was a likenessH1823 as the appearanceH4758 of a manH120 upon it aboveH4605.
And I sawH7200 as it were glowingH5869 metalH2830, as the appearanceH4758 of fireH784 withinH1004 it round aboutH5439, from the appearanceH4758 of his loinsH4975 and upwardH4605; and from the appearanceH4758 of his loinsH4975 and downwardH4295 I sawH7200 as it were the appearanceH4758 of fireH784, and there was brightnessH5051 round aboutH5439 him.
As the appearanceH4758 of the bowH7198 that is in the cloudH6051 in the dayH3117 of rainH1653, so was the appearanceH4758 of the brightnessH5051 round aboutH5439. This was the appearanceH4758 of the likenessH1823 of the gloryH3519 of JehovahH3068. And when I sawH7200 it, I fellH5307 upon my faceH6440, and I heardH8085 a voiceH6963 of one that spakeH1696.
