SonH1121 of manH120, sayH559 unto the princeH5057 of TyreH6865, Thus saith the LordH136 JehovahH3069: Because thy heartH3820 is lifted upH1361, and thou hast saidH559, I am a godH410, I sitH3427 in the seatH4186 of GodH430, in the midstH3820 of the seasH3220; yet thou art manH120, and not GodH410, though thou didst setH5414 thy heartH3820 as the heartH3820 of GodH430;—
behold, thou art wiserH2450 than DanielH1840; there is no secretH5640 that is hiddenH5640 from thee;
by thy wisdomH2451 and by thine understandingH8394 thou hast gottenH6213 thee richesH2428, and hast gottenH6213 goldH2091 and silverH3701 into thy treasuresH214;
by thy greatH7230 wisdomH2451 and by thy trafficH7404 hast thou increasedH7235 thy richesH2428, and thy heartH3824 is lifted upH1361 because of thy richesH2428;—
therefore thus saith the LordH136 JehovahH3069: Because thou hast setH5414 thy heartH3820 as the heartH3824 of GodH430,
therefore, behold, I will bringH935 strangersH2114 upon thee, the terribleH6184 of the nationsH1471; and they shall drawH7324 their swordsH2719 against the beautyH3308 of thy wisdomH2451, and they shall defileH2490 thy brightnessH3314.
They shall bring thee downH3381 to the pitH7845; and thou shalt dieH4191 the deathH4463 of them that are slainH2491, in the heartH3820 of the seasH3220.
Wilt thou yetH559 sayH559 beforeH6440 him that slayeth thee, I am GodH430? but thou art manH120, and not GodH410, in the handH3027 of him that woundethH2490 thee.
Thou shalt dieH4191 the deathH4194 of the uncircumcisedH6189 by the handH3027 of strangersH2114: for I have spokenH1696 it, saith the LordH136 JehovahH3069.
Moreover the wordH1697 of JehovahH3068 came unto me, sayingH559,
SonH1121 of manH120, take upH5375 a lamentationH7015 over the kingH4428 of TyreH6865, and sayH559 unto him, Thus saith the LordH136 JehovahH3069: Thou sealest upH2856 the sumH8508, fullH4392 of wisdomH2451, and perfectH3632 in beautyH3308.
Thou wast in EdenH5731, the gardenH1588 of GodH430; every preciousH3368 stoneH68 was thy coveringH4540, the sardiusH124, the topazH6357, and the diamondH3095, the berylH8658, the onyxH7718, and the jasperH3471, the sapphireH5601, the emeraldH5306, and the carbuncleH1304, and goldH2091: the workmanshipH4399 of thy tabretsH8596 and of thy pipesH5345 was in thee; in the dayH3117 that thou wast createdH1254 they were preparedH3559.
Thou wast the anointedH4473 cherubH3742 that covereth: and I setH5414 thee, so that thou wast upon the holyH6944 mountainH2022 of GodH430; thou hast walked up and downH1980 in the midstH8432 of the stonesH68 of fireH784.
Thou wast perfectH8549 in thy waysH1870 from the dayH3117 that thou wast createdH1254, till unrighteousnessH5766 was foundH4672 in thee.
By the abundanceH7230 of thy trafficH7404 they filledH4390 the midstH8432 of thee with violenceH2555, and thou hast sinnedH2398: therefore have I cast thee as profaneH2490 out of the mountainH2022 of GodH430; and I have destroyedH6 thee, O coveringH5526 cherubH3742, from the midstH8432 of the stonesH68 of fireH784.
Thy heartH3820 was lifted upH1361 because of thy beautyH3308; thou hast corruptedH7843 thy wisdomH2451 by reason ofH5921 thy brightnessH3314: I have castH7993 thee to the groundH776; I have laidH5414 thee beforeH6440 kingsH4428, that they may beholdH7200 thee.
By the multitudeH7230 of thine iniquitiesH5771, in the unrighteousnessH5766 of thy trafficH7404, thou hast profanedH2490 thy sanctuariesH4720; therefore have I brought forthH3318 a fireH784 from the midstH8432 of thee; it hath devouredH398 thee, and I have turnedH5414 thee to ashesH665 upon the earthH776 in the sightH5869 of all them that beholdH7200 thee.
All they that knowH3045 thee among the peoplesH5971 shall be astonishedH8074 at thee: thou art become a terrorH1091, and thou shalt nevermoreH5704 have any being.
And the wordH1697 of JehovahH3068 came unto me, sayingH559,
SonH1121 of manH120, setH7760 thy faceH6440 toward SidonH6721, and prophesyH5012 against it,
and sayH559, Thus saith the LordH136 JehovahH136: Behold, I am against thee, O SidonH6721; and I will be glorifiedH3513 in the midstH8432 of thee; and they shall knowH3045 that I am JehovahH3068, when I shall have executedH6213 judgmentsH8201 in her, and shall be sanctifiedH6942 in her.
For I will sendH7971 pestilenceH1698 into her, and bloodH1818 into her streetsH2351; and the woundedH2491 shall fallH5307 in the midstH8432 of her, with the swordH2719 upon her on every sideH5439; and they shall knowH3045 that I am JehovahH3068.
And there shall be no more a prickingH3992 brierH5544 unto the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, nor a hurtingH3510 thornH6975 of any that are round aboutH5439 them, that did despiteH7590 unto them; and they shall knowH3045 that I am the LordH136 JehovahH3069.
Thus saith the LordH136 JehovahH3069: When I shall have gatheredH6908 the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 from the peoplesH5971 among whom they are scatteredH6327, and shall be sanctifiedH6942 in them in the sightH5869 of the nationsH1471, then shall they dwell in their own landH127 which I gaveH5414 to my servantH5650 JacobH3290.
And they shall dwell securelyH983 therein; yea, they shall buildH1129 housesH1004, and plantH5193 vineyardsH3754, and shall dwell securelyH983, when I have executedH6213 judgmentsH8201 upon all those that do them despiteH7590 round aboutH5439 them; and they shall knowH3045 that I am JehovahH3068 their GodH430.
