On this page
Your church profile is what visitors see on your listener page and your public church page. This article shows where each detail lives and how to fill it in.
Who it's for#
Org Admins. Users with the User role can see the dashboard but can't change church details.
Before you start#
- Sign in at dashboard.sermonwave.com as an Org Admin.
- Have your logo ready: a square PNG or JPG, at least 260 × 260 pixels, under 20 MB.
- Optional: a wide banner photo for the cover image, about 1200 × 400 pixels.
Where church details live#
Church details are spread over three places in the dashboard:
| What | Where to change it |
|---|---|
| Church name, address, timezone, website | ? menu → Setup guide → Your church step |
| Logo | Settings (profile menu, top right), or click the logo in the dashboard header |
| Cover image, tagline, about text, denomination, founding year, service times, social links, FAQs, focus topics | Manage → Church Profile |
Step 1 — Name, address and timezone#
- Click the ? at the top of any dashboard page and choose Setup guide.
- Go to the Your church step.
- Fill in Church name, Street address, City, State, ZIP code and Timezone. The timezone is pre-filled from your computer. Change it if your church is somewhere else.
- Optional: add your Church website, then click Fill in from our website. SermonWave reads your site and suggests a tagline, service times, a short description and visitor questions. Review them and click Add this to our profile. Anything you already filled in is kept.
- Click Continue to save.
Step 2 — Upload your logo#
- Open the profile menu at the top right and choose Settings.
- In the Organization Logo card, drag your image in or click to choose a file.
- Wait for "Logo uploaded successfully."
Your logo shows on your listener page and church page. To replace it later, use the same card. You can also click the logo in the dashboard header.
Step 3 — Fill in the Church Profile tab#
- Click Manage in the top menu, then the Church Profile tab.
- Optional: under AI Profile Assistant (Beta), enter your website and click Auto-fill with AI. Review what it fills in. Nothing is saved until you click save.
- Cover Image: click Upload Cover Image and choose a wide banner photo.
- Church Info: add a Tagline (up to 150 characters), an About / Description, your Denomination and the year your church was Founded.
- Service Times: click Add Service Time, then pick the day, set the time and give it a name, such as "Sunday Worship". Add one row per service.
- Social Links: paste your Facebook, Instagram and YouTube page addresses.
- Frequently Asked Questions: click Add FAQ to write your own. You can also click Load Starter FAQs for common questions like parking and children's programs, then edit them. Up to 10.
- Focus Topics: type a keyword such as "worship" or "youth" and press Enter or click Add. Up to 15 topics, 50 characters each.
- Click Save Church Profile.
Where your profile shows up#
- Listener page at
sermonwave.com/listen/your-church: your name, logo, cover image, profile details and FAQs. See The listener page. - Church page at
sermonwave.com/church/your-church/: your name, logo, denomination, city and latest sermons. See Your public church page. - Events → Weekly Schedule in your dashboard shows your upcoming services, based on your service times.
Your web address (the your-church part) is made from your church name when you sign up. You'll find your real links in the setup guide's Listeners and Public pages steps.
Languages#
Translation languages are set on each device, not on the church profile. See Device settings.
Troubleshooting#
"You do not have permission to manage users." Your login has the User role. Ask an Org Admin to update the profile, or to change your role. See Users and roles.
The setup guide says only admins can change these details. Same cause: you need the Org Admin role.
Auto-fill didn't find anything. Some websites block automated reading or have little text. Fill in the fields by hand. Everything can be edited later.
My logo looks blurry or cropped. Upload a square image of at least 260 × 260 pixels.
I changed our church name, but the web address didn't change. That's expected. Your listener and church page addresses stay the same so printed QR codes keep working. Contact support if you really need a new address.
FAQ#
Do I have to fill in everything?#
No. Only the church name is required. A logo, service times and an about text make your public pages look much more welcoming, though.
Can I add more than one address or campus?#
A profile has one address. See Multiple campuses.
Who sees the FAQs?#
Anyone who opens your listener page.
