Sermon page features: follow along, tap to seek, the Bible panel

Last updated October 3, 2026 For: Pastors, staff and volunteers who show the congregation how to use the listener page

On this page

Every sermon your church records gets its own page, with the audio, a full transcript in each language, a summary, and the Bible right beside it. This article walks through each feature so you can show your congregation how to use it.

You can also see all of this as a short interactive tour: in the dashboard, tap ? at the top, then What's new for listeners. Listeners can open the same tour from the ? button (or the globe menu) on any sermon page.

Who it's for#

  • Church staff and volunteers who explain the listener page on Sunday.
  • Anyone who wants to get more out of a sermon after the service.

For the basics of joining a live service, see How the listener page works.

Languages: read or listen in your own language#

  1. Open the sermon (or the live service) and choose a language in Choose your language.
  2. The captions, transcript and summary switch to that language.
  3. Tap the speaker button to hear the translation read aloud. Earbuds work best.

The phone remembers the choice for next time. The globe button marked EN, ES or FR changes the language of the page's own menus.

Follow along#

On a saved sermon, tap Follow along. As the audio plays, each word lights up as it is spoken and the transcript scrolls by itself. In a translation, the highlight moves paragraph by paragraph.

The player has Back 30 s, Forward 30 s, and a speed button (1×, 1.25×, 1.5×, 1.75×, 2×, 0.75×).

Tap any word to jump there#

  • Tap or click a word in the transcript and the audio jumps to the moment it was said.
  • Select a phrase (drag with the mouse, or long-press on a phone) and tap Play from to start there.

This works in the original transcript and in the translations. The first time, a tip appears: Tip: tap any word to jump the audio there.

During a live service the audio can't jump back. Once the service ends, the saved sermon page supports tap-to-seek.

Bible references the pastor mentions are underlined in the transcript.

  • On a computer, hover over a reference to read the verse in a bubble.
  • Click or tap it to open the Bible panel right at that passage. The sermon keeps playing.

During a live service, verses also pop up on screen as they are mentioned. A verse the pastor quotes without naming it may show as Possibly quoting.

The Bible panel#

Open it with the Bible button at the top of the page, or by tapping a scripture link. It has these tabs:

TabWhat it does
ReadThe whole chapter. Pick another translation, compare two side by side, or switch on the original-language (interlinear) view.
ResourcesOther sermons that cite the selected passage, your church's first, then other churches. Only public sermons are listed, and the one you're on is left out.
Word studyThe Greek or Hebrew words behind the verse. Tap one for its word card: the original word, its meaning, how the translation renders it, and sermons on passages that use it.
SearchSearch the Bible by words or by meaning.
My notesHighlights, bookmarks and notes, saved on this phone or computer only.

Open word study goes to a full word page (for example ἀγαπάω, G25). The word search finds a word by spelling, Strong's number (like G26) or English meaning.

On phones: the resizable sheet#

On a phone, the Bible opens as a sheet at the bottom of the screen.

  1. Drag the handle up for more Bible, or down for more transcript.
  2. It snaps to Small, Half or Full, or stays wherever you let go.
  3. Tap the handle to switch between Half and Full. The − and + buttons also change the size.

The size is remembered for next time. Drag it all the way down to close it.

Summary, Quotes and Stories#

Below the player, the tabs are Transcript, Summary, Quotes and Stories.

  • Summary: an overview, an outline with the key points, and every scripture referenced.
  • Quotes: memorable lines from the sermon.
  • Stories: the personal stories that were told.

Quotes and Stories only show when the sermon has them. Stories from all your sermons also appear on your church's page.

Privacy: public, unlisted and private sermons#

You choose each sermon's visibility in the dashboard under Events:

VisibilityWho can open it
PublicAnyone. It's listed on your church page, in search, and in the Bible panel's Resources tab.
UnlistedAnyone you share the link with. It isn't listed anywhere.
PrivateOnly people you send a private link to. It isn't listed anywhere.

To share a sermon, use Links → Create Link in the dashboard. For an unlisted or private sermon, the link includes a private access key automatically. Live services are open to anyone who has your listener link.
